Jayhoath83
Hi dude Wen was the last time the rotor arm n dizzy cap were changed as these need changing every now n then could be this take the cap off n check if there is any white residue around the points or ont the end of the rotor arm if there is then try changing them n also look for reddish residue as that can indicate the dizzy is fubar

hughgballsack
So the recovery guy reckons fuel pump as no smell when it's turning over
Jayhoath83
Hmm can you hear it wen you first turn on the ignition as u wont smell it easily best way i would check is to disconnect the fuel line from the filter then put it in a bottle n turn it on if it starts flowing into it then the pump is fine if not then eureka
hughgballsack
He turned the key for a good bit. I'll give that a try if that doesn't work I'll get a second opinion. Thanks again

hughgballsack
What size fuse u reckon? Also do u know where relay is located? Maybe worth checking before I order a pump at £70 that might not be needed
aerodeckvtis2000
in your fuse box ( under right hand of steering wheel ) there are 2 fuses for the petrol pump on the diagram, 1 is blanked off . take the blank out and put a fuse in, I had same shock but it worked for me it worked fine up until then.
