FOR SALE!
I picked up another ARB today, I manage to go from having none to having 2! Picked it up as there was a few people on here looking, I paid £30 for it. I'm going to strip it back and put a coat of paint on it to freshen it up so if anyone wants it for £40 + P&P with everything including bolts let me know

anyone want to sell me theres i know it wont happen but you never know
Check on eBay every couple of days mate, and widen your search. For example, try 'MG ZS Anti Roll Bar', 'MG ZS ARB', MG 180 Anti Roll Bar', 'MG 180 ARB'.
One should come up, or search 'MG ZS 180 Breaking' then contact a couple of the sellers and see if they still have the ARB.
Might be worth signing up to the MG ZS owner's club and checking their for sale section?
Hope this helps.

£18 delivered has got to be the cheapest anyone has ever paid!
I fitted mine yesterday, going from no ARB to the MG one has certainly made a difference, the rear end feels much more planted when cornering / takinmg roundabouts fast. Everyone who's come as a passenger has noticed it, it's a hard feeling to describe. It just feels like the rear wheels follow the front a lot more, whereas before they we're sort of independantly bouncing about as they pleased.
Now to get a H brace

Looking good mate, I would have bought a brand new Beaks bar if they were paying for it, your's now has scratches! Is the noise you're explaining the one in the video you put on Civiclife? If so I reckon it's a wheel bearing. Jack up the car and check for play in the wheel.

so the tegiwa eg/dc2 one will probably fit too right?
That's right, a genuine BEAKS bar is over £150 new last time I looked, where the Tegiwa one is £65 if I remember correctly?
I'll be getting one soon

Me too!!
Might have to try and arrange a group buy if there's a few of us interested

Lovely Deck mate, the wheels suit the colour perfectly! I noticed you removed the mudflaps, would you be interested in selling them? I know with a lot of lowered cars they are the first thing to be 'removed' (by the road usually haha)
Some good plans too

i paid £30 for mine but needed a new drop link wat cost me £30 so it cost me £60 really
I was going to buy one from a member on here for about that a little while back. It's the drop links that are so expensive! You got your's cheap, I'm sure the only ones on eBay are £26 EACH! I wouldn't pay that for them.
As said before I wanted a complete one and needed the brackets too, so one day, bored I typed in 'MG ZS180 ARB' and this one came up
Can't wait for it to arrive, should be here to fit by Saturday. Then a thorough test and review will be done

That's a bargain mate, paid £50 for mine.
As knight said, was that second hand?

noticed on my mc2,dont come with arb either oh and £40 s/h plus P+P
Did it make a good difference? That's about the average s/h price I think, I've been offered a few for that

its a bargin even for a used one mate!!! welldone!!
That's what I thought I'm not too fussed about second hand parts, I'd rather pay half the price for a used part providing it's working as it should be. Certain things I'd only buy new, but I've got some bargains buying second hand. A full set of tyres for my Mum's car with 7mm of tread for £55! Toyos as well!

Hello again!
When I come to a stand at a set of lights, handbrake on and in neutral, my Civic initially idles at about 1500rpm, then drops to just over 1000. If I'm stopped long enough it'll go to normal 800. Am I making a big deal out of nowt or is there something to check?
Ta very much!
Might be worth cleaning your idle control valve. My Dad had this on his DC5, especially if the car wasn't used for a week.

drive shaft oil seals, water pump, cambelt tensioner, gear selector seal
oh undo the crankshaft pully bolt b4 removal of engine
Hi,
Thank you I have just got a water pump, however I'm not sure what part is the drive shaft oil seal. If you get a minute could you tell me what part it is on this diagram http://www.hondaoriginalparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17ST311&block_02=B__2100&block_03=17466
Also where would I get the gear selector seal? Is it a gearbox part?
Thanks for your help.

Before I start I want to have everyhting, I am using OEM parts only.

Hello everyone,
Well it is a mod I have wanted since getting my MB3 in October 2010, the MG ZS ARB. I've never really got round to getting one, I wanted a complete one with the hangers as I only have a 1.5, it didn't come with a rear ARB as standard so had no mounting brackets.
This came up and I won it, in my opinion an absolute bargain http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180792288774?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
So I paid £26.52 including delivery, I nearly bought one needing drop links for £30 before!
Is it safe to say I should notice it, going from no ARB to the MB6's upgrade
Over the moon.

harv the centre caps arent stickers its part of the cap... im sure theres stick on honda caps on ebay.. i bought some for my previous rims.. ill have a look for you
Yeah what I mean are the H emblems on the centre caps, are they not a domed sticker kinda thing?

basically you bolt on the brackets to the car not the actual bar.then bolt the bar to the bracket on 1 side.line it up to the other bracket.. see if it fits if not then you will have to make the hole bigger on the bar so you can fit the bolt through!!! i took mine to the garage didnt take more than 5 mins to fit!!!
Ah nice one, sounds relatively straight forward Guna look into getting one. Did you buy the stickers for the centre caps on the wheels? If so pleaseeeee tell me where you got them / send me a link, they're what I want for mine but can't find em anywhere!
Cheers.

Cheers for the reply, what sort of modding was needed to make them fit?

Love this car, mine looks similar. Same wheels but mine are 15s off the Jordan due to being 4x100.
Where did you get your LCAs and bottom tie bar? Can't find any for the MB, are they EK fitment?
Cheers.

Brake Pad Sqeaking
in Brakes and alloys
Posted
Alright everyone,
My O/S brake pads squeal really badly, I think it is due to not having the top metal retaining clip / return clip (if that's what it is called) in the caliper, when I replaced my pads the original had broken so didn't put it back in. All brake pad fitting kits I've found only include the clips / runners that sit on the brake caliper carriers. Even Honda can only get the other part in a camplete pad kit.
Does anybody know where I can get one please? Or has anyone got any spare?
Any help would be most appreciated.
