  1. Well been work today to do wiring brought a obd1 to obd2b jumper harness ready to do ecu go all wiring ssorted out in engine bay went to do ecu and found it to be obd2a!! Now reading on forums after 99 it should be obd2b so gotta try and swap harnesses with people I brought it off so still not running but so near now hopefully will be done as soon as other harness turns up :)

  2. well update on the b16 swap.

I got it in to find had wrong bracket and mounting for cambelt area. Then found out rear bracket isnt right and to top it off where the loom connects to the shock tower on passengers side one of the connectors doesnt fit unlike the others so cutting wires to make them fit hopeing this will work lol. Anyway wishing i hadnt started this now as becoming a real pain in the a*s haha.

  3. That gay. I went into my local key cutters called timpsons down here in Devon and they cut me a key from a blank off of my bent key and managed to get the code out of the black key and put a new chip in it and had worked fine I would of thought all key cutting places would have this by now

  5. Lol yeah as Adam said b16 going into it. I looking at getting interior all done but as everyone knows money always the issue so doing engine then saving up again then gutting the interior and making it custom hopefully. And need to get front and rear bumpers resprayed again as they got cracks n paint talking off where a badger decided to run infringing of me :(

  6. cool well it gunna be done when we got and easy day at work the actual swap bit looks pretty straight forward as all the mounts look in the right place it the wiring im not looking forward to lol. Apparently there a green plug for the dashboard that plugs straight into it as i have found out on some of the forums is that true with the mbs? 1000rpm as you have knowledge of this can you confirm it? and adam at least now will finally be able to keep up with you guys when im out haha

  7. Hey guys wandering if any of you can help.

Doing an engine swap in my mb2 now been reading up about it and loads of people have said you need key and immobilizer box when you do it.

Now I not sure I will have that when get engine so my question is when I plug it all in will the immobilizer stop me from starting the engine?

If so is there a way to bypass or deactivate the immobilizer or can an auto electrician do this?

Or is there a way to reset all the immobilizer so it will all work with each other?

    Cheers
