x2. any plans. Its pretty mint already and want to keep insurance low so: wheel refurb, service, maybe bull bars and side steps when funds allow. Going on a like 'bring your own vehicle' day at a 4x4 off road place soon. They do the driving experience days and open up their tracks to public once a month.

1999 toyota rav 4. I needed something higher up and easier to get in to, and with a child, easier to get him in to. An mc2 when getting in while stood on a kerb was awkward and lead to the odd bumped head, miss the engine though. Its slower but 4 wheel drive so doesnt spin when pulling out of side roads on full lock. It has good leg room, boot, and as i do some off road summer work it will be more suited all round. Ill still be hanging round as i like browsing this forum.

Cheers, got new car and now got plate up with a few companies. My return is £600-£750 plus they cover the fees and arrange paperwork.

Has anyone here sold a private plate? My new car has a private plate that i dont need. Wheres the best place to sell it? The online companies who will make a mark up? Ebay? Private sale? Or is there a wanted number plates site?

I can get it pushing 200bhp for a grand. Swap top end to b18 gsr, then swap bottom end to b18. Job done Edit: just noticed its your first post Get and ebay 12 volt electric supercharger, a motorworld cone filter, some ebay fuel magnets, you could be pushing 20 ga-zillion horses for under £100. Ps these horses are the ones normally found in lasagne from supermarkets. -
Try the old turn it off and back on again, works with most electric things. As i work in a shop where the customers are never right lets start at the beginning: Step one - have you unlocked the door? Hang on, is it your car?

mine did it just after i got it. dim/no dash lights on 2nd ignition click. car would start then die when letting off starter. opened the bit i was talking about and it was clogged with thick black gloop. cleaned it out and started a peach. happened again a few months later and same thing. would keep running if held just past 2nd click. cleaned again and light coat of contact grease and been fine since. looks like a vid is in order, give me a few days/weeks and ill post it.

Hi. if you take the cover off the steering column inside the car. look on the back of the barrel and take off the 2 screws that hold a half brown, half white round plastic box onto the back of the barrel. then the plastic box comes off the back of the barrel. there are 4 clips on 1 half of the plastic box that you just pulled off. careflly pop the clips and the 2 halves come apart. use white spirit/pure iso alcohol and a cotton ear bud to clean the contacts inside both the halves and then put it all back together. sounds difficult but ive done it on my civic 2 times to fix the exact same problem. follow the instructions and its easy. let me know if you need a vid and ill make one up. ill probably make one anyway in next few week and maybe it will make a sticky in the how to's.

mine doesnt smoke, 4-1 plus de-cat. 118k on the clock and no service history. last service 8k ago and oil still at the same place on the dip-stick, ie no oil used. suggest the op finds another

Ive got b18c4 with 4-1 manifold (2 inch collector), induction kit, 2 inch decat, 3 inch tubing rear section with 4 inch tip (still on standard centre section) and made 181.2hp. with standard ecu BEFORE reset. all depends on how the engine has been cared for though with that setup i would be happy with 185 and chuffed with 190. let us know how it goes.
