Hi wondered if anyone has any ides on why my car keeps cutting out. My wife was driving yesterday up a hill and it just cut out, didnt splutter or stall just no acceleration or anything, all lights come on like the engines just stopped. stopped the car and it started back up The same thing happened today on me, just cut out, no warning or anything just goes dead and the lights come on (like when you turn the ignition on and before you start it). I stopped the car and it wouldnt start but turned over, waited a few minutes and it started normal? Ive never changed the rotar arm or cap? Maybe its the cap going down! I think its electrical or could the fuel pump be just cutting out.

thanks for that, its not only me then lol my dads making a tool at work to put in the pully so it will lock the engine and not turnover. Then im gonna get a big ba and give it some bluberries. At least we know its the normal way now (cheers guys) a bit of peace of mind that im trying to undo it the right way.

Failed - can not get the nut undone. was trying to get it off the normal way. Weve tried with 3 airguns and big bars whacking it and it wont come udone. Need to find out if this is left hand thread or the normal way? Going to make the tool that goes inside the pully and try then! any ideas!

My mates finally got his belt for me to do (hes got a 1.5 sport, W Reg), Does anyone know if the rocker has to come off like it does on B18c engines. Ive heard somewhere on some of the Hondas on the bottom pully is a left hand thread, i know mine was the normal way. Is the 1.5 normal of left hand. Just thought id ask on here before i do it saturday Cheers

Car feels a lot better now and my knocking finally gone. replaced front wheel bearing, new driveshaft (to be on the safe side as my other went), rear disc and pads, upper wishbone, new tyres. Feels like new

On my friends 1.5 we are going to but a belt on as we dont know if its had one done. Do you just put the belt on or do you buy a kit. i know on mine B1 engine i just put the belt on as thats what honda told me to do. Can someone tell me what engine his is so i can search on here

theres a bit of water in the boot on the floor, is this the rear light seal, i know they go on integras or would it be boot seal. sorry for questions but i know hell be round tomorrow

he got the car fan not working on 1 and 2 whats the easy fix thanks Also on the dash in the midle a green little keeps flocking saying econ. Is this economy mode its a 1.5 sport. Think my mate going to join this site, ive told him how helpful you all are

Im wanting to buy some new HT leads, new rotar arm and new cap, does anyone recommend any or should i stick to genuine, dont want to spend millions. Thanks

thank for your help. im not sure if it will be the ignition key switch as daily it starts perfect. Its only when its been stood 3 days or more then it wont start. Ill try the relays and fuses and see how i go, just wanted to try things first before i buy a battery. ive check glove box, boot lights etc and nothing staying on. It even did it in the summer puzzling

im not sure its just dead, nothing there at all . all electrics work fine. ive put it in gear and rocked it thinking it was starter motor but it wouldnt make a difference

the car will start all the time its just if u leave it about 3 days its will not start after bump it

when car is not on the battery is reading 11 when u start car it goes up to 13.2 ?

yes incase was starter motor ?

crank test ? its just dead when turn the key started fine this morning?when it does it it does not even turn over like flat battery?i will check the voltage later thanks for the help
