  1. Is there much difference between the two hardnesses I'd rather not make the car rock solid.
  2. Sorry to hijack the thread, is there a difference between vtis and vti ect front end bushes? Chris
  3. rite a little update on the the car. i took the positive lead off the car last night when i went to work and this afternoon i reconnect it and the light has gone out and stayed out, had a run to the end of the street and back( mot has run out while i've been waiting for the sensor ) and the light has stayed out. on the subject of new vs 2nd had sensors, whos to say the motor factors sensors are going to last half as long as the OEM parts, going on how long bushing ect last from them i dowt they will be as good a quality. i've not missed having abs if anything i could stop quicker without it pulsing away far to early.... cheers for your help guys, be glad to have my car back after putting up with a saxo.... chris
  4. from looking at the manual, how it reads to me is the when the car is turned off and back on the light should go out an then come back when been driven, mine is on permantly. just to check but to reset the abs ecu do you just pull a lead off the battery or do you have to pull a fuse as well? i need to get a multi meter and check the sensor. cheers chris
  5. hi guys, i'm having problems with the abs on my deck, i've checked for a fault with the service light and its flashing 1 long 6 short, so code 16, which is faulty wheel sensor pulse( noise ) rr, so driverside rear sensor. i've bought a 2nd hand sensor and i'm still getting the light on the dash, i've disconected the battery and left it for a while to try reset it still the lights on and the same code shows when checked. any ideas guys cheers chris
  6. might be a long shot but when was the dizzy cap and arm last changed, it can work one day and not the next, sometimes it can help doing it at a warmer time of day, cleaning the contacts up with sandpaper or spraying a little wd40 inside the cap.
  7. That's just what I needed cheers, it says that there bar won't fit with kit fitted not a large shock there, looks like I'll be borrowing some spare material from work;-).
  8. Phil have you got any pics of how the bar mounts, is it bolted to the spare wheel well? I've got a tow bar with electric fittings so I might make the brackets,I just want to know where to bolt it to, I guess that there's a height from the ground that the ball needs to be.
  9. hi guys, following on from an old thread about bike racks, i've just been given a small trailer and wouldn't mind using it to transport my bikes around with some modding to it, now my vtis is lowered and of course has the vtis kit on it so i'd rather not have to take the back bumper off to use the trailer or have another that i can cut the bumper so i can leave it on all the time. now my plan would be to make my own that i can remove from the car as and when i need to, probbly will need to be a swan neck one rather than a normal at a guess. what i would like is some pictures of where and how the tow bars are fitted and the height of the ball from the ground. any help and pic would be great. many thanks chris
  10. little update windscreen is back in and boy is it good to be back, if you want a cheap way to make your car feel quicker, borrow a 1.1 saxo and 1.6 picasso for a while.... does anyone have a very cheap tailgate for sale,i don't have access to the for sale/wanted section( less than 200 posts and i'mnot going around spamming to get my post count up ) as i'm gonna be sanding with the wing on the tailgate to make sure everything lines up and i'd rather not remove the paint on the car. chris
  11. It was late and i had to fill my mates van tyre. Once i done that i then thought i might as well do mine as they have a compressor. I'm not sure really it was late and i was tired, but i think i may have bent the inner part of the valve. I don't under stand what you mean?i think he means is it plug and play, as in do all the fittings match up and work without cutting wires ect chris
  12. they will be going back on once they stop salting roads. chris
  13. still have them, they need a little refurbish and a couple of tyres chris
  14. only thing i'd change is the sides of the spoiler, i want mine to rest against the glass rather than hover over. should be some added support as well. cars all welded ( i'll never stick weld again, MIG ftw from now on) primered up, just need auto glass to visit again then i can drive the car for the 1st time in 2 weeks. Started 1st spin after been stood as well i'm still supprised how small the battery is.... cleaned the dizzy cap and rotor arm which look like they need changing soon, might be whats making the car missfire when theres lots of road spray every once and so often, i'm going to put the mushroom filter back on as well, i miss the noise on changeover, and since i binned the middle box might make things sound even fruityer. chris
  15. Found the pics on the facebook site: noodles i think that deck was an accord, did it have daft camber on the back wheels
