  1. Looking a lot lot better would look better if you take the nasty heat shield off the manifold and pray it VHT silver or Even red if thats what you got.

    Well done

i tried to take it off! but couldnt

got the top 2 bolts off but the bottom one is seized shut and hard to get to aswell, will try again though and i plan on getting a new manifold soon :)

  2. no wrong chassis i would fit them to yours let me have a look for you see what i can see, why you saying better safe then sorry something wrong with yours?
ah ok nah better getting some good quality lowering springs than those cheap ebay coilovers! and yeh would be going to the mgzs shocks when i get them. those are not bad for 70 quid but i am a teenager and want more low  minimum of 40mm thanks :D ill have a look for mgzs lowering springs aswell

the only ones are Motobuild ones no good for Hondas not enough engine weight the V6 is a heavy lump, you will have to look for Honda ones i take that back i should have known coz i looked, eibach your best bet as they developed the MGZS180 suspension so it would be sensible match.

ok thanks! :D will just have to look out for some! ive been hard at work this morning pics will be up in a few minutes ;)

  4. Look fairly simple to install, take your complete shock off, compress the spring, whip the top mount off, swap the springs for the new ones, top mounts back on, bob's your mum's bro.

They're not my cup of tea though, I think if something is that cheap quality has to suffer, I'm very happy with the MGZS Eibach combo I have and it's what I always recommend to others. :D

yeh easier said that done  i would get something different but i dont want to spend hundreds on lowering springs, but im definitely getting the mg zs shocks and springs and see how it goes from there. :)

  5. Just remember (as kyekye reminded me the other day) D14 & 16 are a lot lighter than B18 and MGZS shocks may not lower at all on your car, be better to match up with some lowering springs, eibach ftw. :D

ok thanks im taking all this information on board and was thinking of getting these adjustable coilovers off of ebay you just put them on some shocks and you have adjustable suspension :D

im just not sure how to install them would they be similar to lowering springs when installing?

  6. ok you might have to wait a little longer as i am having a track rod end malfunction waiting for new supplier to send when i get it looking like thursday/friday ill be on it but i got some other bits to do until then.

this isnt an a hole comment genuinely useful in these situations is a Haynes Manual i have one we all get stuck sometimes and a honda builders guide also good reading please dont take the wrong way i have them both what taught me and help from my dad on other older models.

nah thats cool mate im not in any hurry, looking into getting a haynes manual off of eBay, also think its worth getting the mg zs shocks and springs? i know it will be an upgrade but will it sit any higher  or lower?

    will these fit?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-ZS-FRONT-S ... 1e6aae5dfe thanks again

  7. I will mate dont panic it's a case of remove the ht leads from the top of the rocker cover, you need a spark plug 16mm socket, place over the spark plugs and unscrew them and pop em out, then get the new plug put in in the socket slide it down the chamber and hand screw in it in and nip up with a ratchet, make sure you don't cross thread and don't over tighten just nip them up.

    It's easy

The dizzy cap is 3 bolts small 8mm I think undo one may snap if corroded enough the bottom normally, undo remove the cap there's a spring inside the cap with a small flint inside that locates on the middle of the rotor arm if it's warm it will crumble or shoot out so careful, remove cap put new on in place tighten up.

Remember the order of the plugs coz get it wrong and will chugg like a tractor.

great thanks but i think ill wait for the how to before i try anything just in case :P

think i might just manage to change the leads on my own

  8. Thats cheap i know you can repair them but thats a good price keep it up mate.

yeh i saw a how to on repairing the individual resistors but ive never soldered anything so didnt fancy starting on that.

one question about painting the rocker cover, when i take it off can i blast it with a hose on the inside to clean off all the oil on it? will i have to re oil it? i know how to strip the paint and re paint it, just not sure about how to clean it.

yes mate you can clean the inside but it would be easyer to clean it with degreaser and then hot water and washing up liquid (fairy)

    if poss ?

ok so its fine to just clean it great! i dont have any degreaser so will have just give it a good scrub, but wont be doing it today as its started snowing :(
