well i always put them in my hondas i had them in my old 1.6 SOHC vtec and my 1.8VTI i have now and they have always made a difference i also combined them with KV85 HT leads aswell and a new dizzy cap every year or so.
there is definately a difference between them and Standard OEM plugs i dare say it will get the most out of you MPG as well with that new filter on.
do you plan for better HT leads and a better exhaust system how far are you looking to go with you MB?
as in HT leads do you mean the leads that come from the spark plugs? then yes i would like some better ones, and as far as exhaust system i only have the cobra backbox on at the moment, what else could i do with the exhuast system? manifold? etc
-
yep gathered that! yeh hopefully worth it, do you notice any difference in performace?
-

iridium yes? and has anyone done a how to? or would anyone do one pretty please?
Denso's more preferable for Jap cars if you can get them mate if not these will do.
i have used both find densos just last longer and perform better through the revs.
brilliant! thanks so much! ok ill have a look for denso's, cheers for all the advice 1"£££$££"!!

My filter is in the same place and I have never had a problem. I have went through some deep puddles and its been alright. So its not as bad as people say.
Ah cool that gives me peace of mind now but think I'll still check it every so often just incase
-
Cut the blanking holes out. Loads of good work going on here, keep it up mate.
thanks mate! i have just realised how much ive done in 2 months
-
cheers mate ive got so much more planned though!
-
just saw knight do these so thought i would copy him
-
also a nice tank cutter hole in the bumper should be good to get the cold air to the filter
think i could feed it through to where the foglight is meant to be? and what would i need to do that?
-
Careful of standing water now mate
yeh im going to keep checking up on it and avoid big puddles
-
yeah or steam clean it, i normally cover it in degreaser cover all sensitive bits with carrier bags and blast hell out of it once the degreasers done its thing.
cover dizzy, alternator, Battery and dont blast your radiator coz you may go through it depending on the condition of it. good luck
hmm ive never heard of anyone do that before! it seems scary i dont have a pressure washer or steam cleaner might just give the bay a good wipe down cheers for the advise the next free time that i have will be on friday afternoon so will paint the rocker cover and clean the engine bay then
-
Great work looks the b*ll*cks mate well done told you it was easy looks nice for a 1.4 get that rocker sprayed up and a good pressure wash under there will be even better.
well done
cheers mate painting the rocker cover is next on the list! would of done it today but ive ran out of time do you mean pressure wash the engine bay?!?

filter arrived yesterday so gave installing my cold air intake a bash today haha and it was suprisingly easy!
installed it as a short ram intake just to see what it looked like etc also had to DIY the air sensor as the hole wasnt big enough but its fine and sounds and works like a beast!
im happy with the result

-
yeh im definitely going to get that k&n cleaning kit looks proper good!
-
I been using Aprio filters and cheap ones from jtf think they urban x some stupidness like that, I found the performance better than the hks mushroom I had that cracked after a year, and the k&n that warped before I got chance to clean it do good job for a tenner I treat them like a throw away if they too dirty but also clean up well most of the time they just fade easily.
ah cool so when they are dirty you can just take them off, hose them down and put them back on?
