Wikk give that ago when I come to fit them cheers
-
i tried doing that on my old civic and the bold was seized so bad i had to compress the original shocks and the new coilovers to get them in and out i can see me having to do that on this one!
If you undo the upper arm where it joins the body, it drops nicely and making the rears a doddle too.
is the upper arm where the lca attaches to the center of the car or is it something else

Mine is really on its way out rusting from the inside buzzing and rattling ive looked at custom ones but I would like a few more options before buying one as theyre pricey a lot of you say tgeyre well worth it but would still like to see the other options,
Seen toyo sports for £250 mongoose £315 do integra dc2 exhausts fit? Cheers guys!!

Cheers snakey the fronts are a doddle to change on civics its the reat ones which are a pain!

Share your impressions once you have them bult! And some pics if possible. Thinking on getting new suspension and I was about to get just some KYB Excel G (to replace original one) but I 'd love to lower it about 3 to 4 cm...and that FK set seems the best deal so far.
I bottled it at the kast minute and went for the pricier koni ones just because they are more known haa

this seems like a ball ache been reading on different forums and searching the net people seem to be suggesting koni, eibach springs and loads of different stuff for the mb but as soon as i try to look for them i get no where!
-
Aye could go straight for them but piling money into the bikes now so need to save what about koni shocks ive heard good things about them, but everytime i search them i get koni's website they dont give prices or for which model of car, where should i look for these? i like pricing things up, theres meister for £700, gaz for £500 and want to look into the konis

Bikes v cars my constant battle!
tough one isnt it, i was all cars and went on my downhill bike tother day absolutely loved in not ridden it since start of summer and want to do more travelling with it
Keep it practical mate if you want to o biking places, mines so low its not even practical to go down country lanes
I got -35mm springs on the mazzza , so sits a bit lower, looks better but can still drive everywhere
hopefully after uni i might be able to get a van for bikes and have my mb as the project i want it to be
changing the thermostat and rocker cover gasket today....i hope i do it right
-
As I said they are definitely a worthwhile upgrade, especially if you'd rather be spending your money elsewhere.
thanks might have to do that get the bikes sorted then do the meisters
-
Ch
Mg zs shocks are a great low cost upgrade and will only lower the car by about 15mm, so ideal if you want to load it up with gear but still improve the handling.
I wouldn't bother with lowering springs as afaik you can only get -40mm ones so will probably be too low I think when laden and only a slight improvement in handling.
The meisters are obviously the best upgrade and you don't have to go too low if you don't want and still retain a good ride comfort, mine is lower than it was on mgzs and -40 eibachs and still much more comfortable.
Cheers mate weel the thing about meister r are the price i had my heart set on them but took the downhill bike out for a whirl the other day and thought want to do more travelling down horrible rodes and want to spend more time travelling to places i and buy stuff for my all mountain bike, i suppose i could get mg zs shocks for now and start saving (again) for meisters after i sort my bikes out
-
so the idea was to lower it on meister r's however now im contemplating on just getting mgzs shocks and springs or just lowering springs to make it handle a tiny bit better as ive started doing more mountain bike riding so i want it to get to places but be a bit stiffer and i cant see the point in £700 shocks and springs if im hardley going to lower it what do you guys think?

No water in the wheel well when checked thanks for the reply will have another look
-
my rear window always has condensation on it in the morning but the boot area and parcel shelf seem fairly dry im just wondering is there a common leaky area towards the back on MB's?
cheers
-
That looks insanely clean mate - How much difference did de-chroming make against the silver as well...awesome result
Cheers mate it was quite easy to do glad you guys are liking it, still saving for these coilovers!
-
Nice to see another silver M here with black lip kit..did you do pirates black?
Cheers pal No I went satin black cos the pirates black wasn't good condition so had to sand and spray
-
Damn that merc in your drive! Niceeeeeee
Ha it's not mine its my mates dads but it is a sl55 amg supercharged V8 that has been remapped and is pushing over 550 bhp I think, and it sounds the nuts and goes like the clappers,

That plate is cool, shame it won't do that (175.8 mph)
What a wicked nob. Is it nice to hold?
Wish it could just needs freshening up and took a day and a bit sanding down all the vti-s kit and painting was fun though and the nob sits in my hand just right, nice and smooth
