  1. rated for longevity 1 wrapped...some coloured wraps will fade ie reds and yellow, wraps can be very susceptible to chemicals like wheel cleaner and mark easily (super resin polish is a ***** on plastics and wraps) 2 painted properly, done with an etch primer, 2k/epoxy primer, colour coat and 2k lacquer. Im a painter by trade, and this is what ill be doing. 3/4 plastidip/hairyarsehole(aerosol) plastidip is a gimmick product not made to last, good for a one off show. itll chip, youll wash your car and the lot will peel. Aerosol, im still yet to try the 2k aerosols (tins with a seperate hardner) and i presume would last, these are not as cheap as 1k aerosols which are prone to chemicals, chip easily can go back soft with heat...............i hate them.
  2. Ah that's a better way, didn't really think it look at it, nice one.
  3. That's beautiful, bet it was real efficient at the end of its life I do have an enclosed filter laying around I may modify to make like the mugen one.
  4. Team heko's £40.49 bargin
  5. Cheers What do people do with the spare pipe left as it's joined to something else. Leave it dangling or grind it off?
  6. Anybody using one? People's thoughts on these please. The only reason I ask is I will be getting a cai/ short ram made through a returned favour. Just wondering whether I should use a breather filter or find a rubber grommet and use the standard pipe and return it to the intake. Cheers Dean
  7. Oh yeh also did this the day I got it. Think I will change it for something shorter though.
  8. Thanks for the comments guys. Plans hmmm. Plan on making an extended top rear spoiler. Rear jdm plate recess hence question as there's 2 in the scrappy so shall confirm this soon. Mod front grille, maybe projector lights?
  9. So This is what i picked up two weeks ago, you may have already seen it if you scour the bay everyday like me. It was abit of an impulse decision, mates telling me to just get it and it didnt take long to be on the phone insurance...which is cheaper than my MC1 was?!?!?!?!? Quick look round it, quick test drive it was coming home. I ended up paying £850 Ebay pics It was from a sales yard and they didn't know much about it, finally get home to look through documents, all previous MOT's and service history up to 87K with the cambelt being done and its only at 97K. Theres a few niggles that have/still need to be addressed. Sh@t window mech fixed Headlights polished up Smashed fogs replaced Bumper lined up better, still needs another tweak Exhaust Blow fixed (full system from powerflow, standard size though, just freer silencers and 3.5 inch tip) Still needs doing ABS light on, diagnosed as NSF break in ground, so new sensor i'm presuming? I really dont like the standard wheels,,,ebay,,,picked some BBS off a volvo, £125 were already sprayed with a rattle can in black. The offset is slighlty off to how i would like it. Theyll be refurbed silver, and when the tyres need replacing will get a different profile so they sit abit better. And of course lower ASAP. Wind deflectors on the way. Theres a few more styling tweaks that may impress on the way soon. Quick Q dont spose anyone knows if the number plate recess will fit from an MB? Dean

  13. Cheers will have a look at the site,,, no plates no spoiler but there was one. Will see if there's an old tax disc next time I go. Cheers will post pics up tomoz as they're for my newly acquired mc2.
  14. There's an mg zs in the local scrappy, I'll be hopefully nabbing the suspension off. Only problem is I don't know what model it is, badges and engine have been removed, what other tell tale bits will let me know whether is a zs120 or 180. Cheers Dean
  15. it will be the first non rusty hondaive bought,,,,looks surprisingly clean underneath aswell, will be getting the rubber guard and waxoyl out before the weather proper turns to try and stay on top of it.
  16. Cheers folks Looks are deceiving tho,,, there's not a straight panel in the car tho,,, the pictures do it justice... It will have a full hit to sort all that out, thinking Matt black, but done properly and not patchy like most finishes you see.
  17. Yeh deffo, used to go most of the TOA/JDMC meets
  18. Hey all Life in the deck started a couple of months ago now (JAE weekend infact) I bought it for £400 so lets just say it was quite ropey. It started with a WELL OVERDUE service The usuals bar cambelt as this looked ok. also new tie rods droplinks and still have the trailing arm bushes to do yippeee! Swapped the wheels off the lude which are vti fat fives Now onto the fail and bodge job,,,,the back box was also knackered, i had a spare mahoosive jap can, on it went. And then i managed to get some ek lowering spring CHEAP,,,this was a mistake. the fronts are ok. so i swapped the rears back for standard yeserday as had loads of tip runs to do. This is a daily driver so will only be a select few mods, styling tweaks and thinking of LPG convert :-$ so im after the right drop (40mmish) if anyone is selling cheers all oh and the lude
