every one sware by the s80 box i cant work out which would be the better one to get

cheers krzys but i wouldnt be confident enough to go messing around with gears last time i ripped a box springs and washers fell out and i didnt know how it went back together

here it is as it standa dont look too bad up close but from a distance its very noticable

so it looks like ill either be fitting the s4c box or the s80 box but I think the s80 box has no lsd would my lsd bolt into the s80 box

cheers tom I just spent the last hour reading that thread lol herself has fallen asleep no action for me tonight lol nice read but only problem I have is I haven't time or money to go to the effort or rebuilding my box I need to get one and do a in out and in swap in a day as I rely on my car every day for school run still confused as to which box to use for better power and still have long 5th unless I pick up a second hand box and hope for the best trying to find one that don't crunch over here will be hard as they ring the nuts off there cars

yea mate it will do the job for now mabey in time summer ill make a trip to power flow uk and get a custom back box to fit the toyosports center should be around 170 then it look right have the test wed so all being well should pass

well lads iam confused and frustrated the 3rd gear syncro is gone in my gearbox and its driving me mad I been speaking to few Honda heads over here and most people are telling me to fit an sc4 gearbox out of 1.6 type r civic some are saying fit a 4.4.1 final drive or a 4.7 none of this makes any sense to me basically I want good gearbox with good low range torque but still want long 5th for crusing sont want it screaming its nuts off at 70 whats my best option some fella rekons he has a 4.1 1.6 gearbox out of a 1996 civic with longer 4th and 5th gears fitted but he says it needs reverse gear that my one will fit he talking to the right person I wouldn't know one end of a gear box to the other

right guys just an update on the exhaust situation so I hsd to go back to the company that messed me around on ebay with my tail between my legs so to speak so I got my full toyosports exhaust from them and fitted it other day very good quality exhaust system shame it didn't fit properly sounds well nice nothe only problem I have is the rear box sits p**sed its like there is a bend missing in the pipe where it meets the box its pulled to one side ive tried everything to make it fit properly bending hangers loosening clamps 3 hours I gave yesterday and I just gave up in the end but overall happy with the end result if I was to advise people id say to stay away unless ypour badly stuck like I was

I was looking at them mate there the same company I had trouble with same address trading under different name

its a dodgey one because I say there not trading as longlife anymore working under a different name and he told me he want the car over night whats that about when I got a powerflow system for my civic hatch years ago did it while I waited

just rang long life in waater ford there gone from the franchise but still have the parts to do exhausts couldn't guarantee me life time and wanted 450 euro cat back id want life time guarantee for that price

yea Waterford is a nice old spin all depends what sort of money they want for a cat back mate

well lads having desperate trouble trying to find an exhaust for my civic rang demon tweeks and they told me they had a mongoose system there so he went to check turned out that he didnt rang mongoose themselves and they said there discontinued mangnex are gone janspeed dont do them nor does piper and supersprint want nearly 1000 ponies for a cat back i was thinking custom system but there are few people over here that are good and i want a good job done not a lash up havent price to cross the pond as ferry is 300 euro return and petrol ontop of that and besides the car has no mot fine over here can drive away as long as its booked in for test but not in uk any one have any good second hand systems to suit my needs

iam in Ireland mate they will have the parts but need to either match them or work from part numbers

hi lads I am going doing a service on the mb before the bad weather sets in oil and filter fuel filter and plugs just wondering what the best grade oil is for these engines and does anyone have the codes for the plugs and oil and fuel filter as the local motorfactors don't list the parts on there system

cheers tom but the custom exhaust makers over here are s**t its had a custom made back box and it has so many joins and welds it looks like a 5 year old has done it its a shame really even the welds are rusty its a stainless steel rear box but id say they mig welded it with a gasless mig soulhan.ie is stamped on it and it is knocking off rear trailing arm more so when you turn thank god that there is a waiting list for the test not like uk when u just drive in

trying to get a exhaust for mb6 is like trying to find a leprecorn in a field lol

mine was a mk2 957cc fiesta with xr2 koni shocks xr2 pepper pots mountney leather 12in wheel peco big bore 2 exhaust that fitted crap may I add lol had clear side repeaters and front indicators 1.1 carb with kand n bolt on filter used to do 85 with strong breeze behind ya or 75 without met a horibble death when I t boned a yaris when the woman never gave way to me at roundabout

yea espically when i have my car booked for the test exhaust blowing like f**k sounds like a tractor my fuel consuption is through the roof waiting for 2 weeks for nothing what a p***k excuse my foul language

its a hame mate because most sellers are genuine but this bloke was a bit of a tool id say he had taken the pic from google said he had exhaust took my money and he never had it in the first place
