Has any one ever had or seen for sale a set of red n clear/smoked rear lights for a mb? Id love a set for mine
-
Cool thanks bud was just wondering, good to know
-
just wondering when honda releases the bhp n torque figures are they at the wheels or at the fly wheel readings? I know for instance the Renault clio 172 are something like 140 something at the wheels out of the factory because the 172 reading comes from the fly!

Cheers for the info @KiNK43 il will take alook at it before the car goes to the body shop, if It does need heating up il do it before I get it resprayed so if I do damage the paint it won't matter to much haha
-
Cheers mate, il just get them to mask it up then
-
Hi my cars going in for a respray soon n im in the process of stripping it down ready for prep n spray, was just wondering can you remove the front n back bumper strips or are they glued on??
-
My rear bumper is sitting low both sides,I haven't had the bumper off yet but was just wondering if any of you have had the same problem n if so what caused it? Cheers
-
Thanks for the advice dave, but mine was the same problem as skymera, I took of the n/s roof strip n the windscreen cowling, cleaned it up n saw a hairline crack goin along the top of the windscreen n branching off up towards where the roof trims fit, so I used black exterior gutter sealant, let it dry n you cant even tell I put it there as it drys the same colour as the windscreen sealant but most importantly its stoped leaking, I put the hose on it n not even a little bit damp inside happy days thanks for all your help guys.
-
Thanks kink will be taking them off soon as the roof is being resprayed n I didn't want to bend them all shapes if I could avoid it
-
Has any of you guys ever removed the door strips on a mb6? I need to remove mine soon as im have the drives door sprayed due to the dreaded rot do they un bolt from the inside or just pop off?
-
I want to remove my roof rail covers on my mb6 and was just wondering if they just pull out or slide back? I don't want to make them go all funny shapes like I did with my old 106 lol so thought id ask
-
Today it has been hammering it down with rain and ever since I bought the car at the top of the passengers side A pillar it always gets soaking wet but haven't had the time of yet to find out if its the door seal or windscreen not sealed, but driving along today n the wife got a wet leg :/ it was dripping down behind the glove box! Has anyone else had this? N if so whats the fix lol?

EG fogs fit straight onto the MB brackets the only difference is the plugs but iv manged to open up the bottom of my old MB fogs and iv swapped over the wires works a treat a brand new set for just £59 posted happy happy
-
Thanks gel, I do about 30 miles a week so in the end I bought 5w40 fully synthetic n like tom said its a better cold start protection
-
I tryed that mate, they are all totally seized, iv cut mine out of the brackets so when I can get £60 together im going to buy a set of eg ones, n if im right and they do fit on my original brackets then its ideal as iv got a brand new pair for a fraction of the price of a second hand pair of mb's lol
-
Cheers roj, ideally want to keep to stock fogs really.
-
I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever tried fitting eg fog lights to your mb? Iv got one broke light and the other one has a blown bulb but all the screws are seized solid, and cant find a sensibly priced pair anywhere, so I was looking through ebay n came across an aftermarket set for a eg and they look exactly the same as mb fogs apart from the brackets, not sure if there worth the risk for £60 :/ they look like they mount the same on the brackets, has any one tryed doing this before?
-
Cool thanks for the replys gives me plenty to think about
-
Iv used various different oil manufacturers which oil searchs n most come back different :/ also rang a few motor facters n they have different things listed, I haven't got a hand manual so I cant check what honda recommends, is that what they recommend kink43?
-
I have a b18c4 with 82,000 on the clock and currently its running 5/30 I dont drive it much but when I do im in v-tec alot lol the question is im changing the oil soon n is it best to keep to the same grade or say a 5/40 or 10/40? Theres so many options lol
