  1. Yes I agree, the ones that where on the car we got when we bought it, then it was either these or genuine mercedes amg monoblocks, but there to common and these are wider

Seen as I'm planning on staying on this forum for a while with my mb thought if start a thread about my restoration of my 190e 2.3 cosworth manual dogleg Dad purchased car in 2005 then parked in storage in 2006 due to not having a drive way ane someone keying it down the driver side. Then late last year took it back out, gave it a full service brake change and so on. Car is not standard is lowered all round, has a SL front nose job ( was done prior to purchase however after restored will keep this bonnet but have original on car) ,oz opera alloy wheels Currently in the body shop getting a full respray with new rear inner arches, rear quatres, new front wings, rest of the car is unbeliably solid Have many pictures on my photo bucket but ill put the main few up This is when we got the car out of storage : Serviced and detailed changed the alloys My e30 I sold prior to taking cosworth out of storage due to space, was only a 1.6 but had a engine conversion waiting, sadly couldn't keep it do miss it was a real head Turner At a motorheads car meet in birmingham in a secure closed car park after houres Droped off for restoration, they have carried out work on my friends classic mercedes and e30 bmws and I'm happy with the quality: This is my 2.5 automatic I sold about 2 years ago lovely drive however the 2.3 is much more livelyer car Stripped down rear quatres test fitted Rust free front inner arches Driver side rear inner arch rust removed and plated up Rear quatre fitted and smoothed Some sort of laqar or something I don't know That Is all so however ever car should be complete by this weekend, once it's out will get the wheels refurbished, new exhaust downpipe as it already has a cat back exhaust Hope you like it I'm all for originality but I'm the kind of guy that likes making a car my own, won't be hard to put back to standard if I ever decide to sell up but not planning onit
  3. @Krzys unless you got a k pro with a map and a nice induction kit an exhaust your not scaring the brum ep3's So the s80 98 spec is the best for acceleration, what the gear ratios like I need to understand these before I make a decision as the car will be used daily aswell and the odd motorway mission so need to know all this. Have to say out of all the vtec cars I have drop the ep3 has to be the most fun by a mile, massive smile on my face, one day when I find a clean one ill cop it for sure untill then I'm chucking a couple notes on the Mb

Someone explain gear ratios and final drive to me because Google I just telling me about American muscle Also is the s4c lsd aswell and bolt on just like the s80, another thing I heard is there's a diffrence of gear ratios with the early and late s80 boxes so need to do some reasurch if anyone can help me
  5. It most likely would the ones I was playing with where more or less standard However there's some nice k24 Frankinstein block ep3 going around brum I will search up on the s4c compare the ratios to the s80 and see what happens, will keep all updates on here

Naanaa I completely understand where your comming from as it had me scratching my head aswell 30 bhp from an exhaust and induction is big thing Have to say 1st experience with lsd any boy what a great piece of equipment, think the s80 gearbox would do wonders to this car if I can get hold of one for a decent price.
  7. Well I'm not to bothered anyway that what I was given with the car, drives lovely nice and tight. Just really need to lift it up that the main priority atm Oh and fit the hawk remote locking And get a new driver side mirror cover as this one's cracked apart from that she's purring like a kitten What I will say is couple ep3 type r's wernt pulling away from me on the old airstrip in birmingham, soo ..... I don't know tbh

No recipt of map in paper work and nothing mentioned by previous owner so not to sure tbh, I think I may just get it rolling road'd my self after I get it lifted just to make sure, How would I check to see if it has standard ecu as I do remember talking to the owner an he said something along then lines
  11. Will get a picture up today in the day time Dyno print says 197.5 bhp and visually that's all I can see and my mate said that's all he done so not to sure tbh
  12. So the mb6 l braket will fit the mg zs 180 rear anti roll bar and drop links? I was told that I neee the rarb with the drop links and L braket from the zs Lol you could say it's broken however the raisers allow the hot air to escape quicker and allow cold air to enter even more, I'm my head anyway

Just purchased this silver mb6 vti couple of days ago Not my 1st civic however it is my 1st ever vtec It is a 1 previos women owner car who had the car from new till 1st of January, all previous mot's present along with recipt for service and so on, has 132k on the clock and I can confidently say at least 120k did not see vtec The na friend of mine purchased the car and had it dynod it come out 166 bhp + or - 2 Then he carried out some modifications consisting of: IPE long arm induction kit 3" toyo sports cone air filter JP performance 4-2-1 manifold JP performance downpipe Decat CAT back exhaust ( unsure of the size ) Tegawi engine bay dress up Unbranded front upper strut brace Tegawi bonnet raisers 6000k hid kit Led bulbs all round Lowered all round 50mm After market shock absorbers however unsure of make as of yet After all this the car dynod once again 197.5 bhp I have printout. This is how the car is sitting as of now I'll get a engine bay picture later as my brother dicided to go out and take the key with him .... I have ordered a HAWK remote locking system to DIY after reading a how to on here gave me the confidence as the standard fob is nakkered Plans so far Change suspension for 30mm springs Source and fit mg zr 180 rarb with drop links and L brakets Order rear lower tie bar That's it as of yet but may do more things as I get along. Would really love to be able to take it on a track once I have it all done to how I want. If I keep the car long enought I would love to put a s80 gearbox in however only time will tell Sorry fo the long type up feel free to drop any ideas of anything I can do along my journey

My civic is already lowered 50mm according to the advert with upgraded shocks I want to replace the springs with about 30/40 mm springs Could people put pictures up of how there car sits with this drop, I have seen some springs on ebay 30mm for just shy of £90 from a seller on ebay performance suspension anyone had any experience with these Thanks
