  1. Yeah tried that mate but it doesnt tell me what the damper rate in kgs is only the equivelent weight in kgs is as am looking for the actual damper rate in kgs cheers anyway
  2. I bought a set of springs and shocks for my mb2 1.5vtec and they give a ride similar to oe springs and shocks as the rates are follows Damper rates are:0.3301 m/s velocity75mmFronts12-1300 nm rebound700 nm bumpRears750 nm rebound600 nm bump If someone could change these into kgs instead of nm so i have a better idea what the damper rates are as i dont work in nm as i dont have a clue about that side of things as its kgs etc i work in.
  3. I have a 1.5 vtec-e in my 5door hatchback as i searched for a small vtec 1.6 or 1.5 for a while before finding a decent car but i learned the LS models dont produce as much power as the vtec models as engines are diffrent my engine is a d15z8 engine i did have a similar car in silver with 1.4 d14z2 engine which came out another civic and for some strange reason the 1.4 was quicker than my 1.5 vtec even though the vtec has 24bhp more but as kink43 said the 1.5 vtec-e has big gear ratios and takes longer to get too get up the revs but is really good on fuel 16 quid got me 116 miles and that was mainly town driving on the motorway they can get about 50mpg no problem making long distance crusing for these cars very effecint.
  4. hey kind of new to this site as previous account wouldn't let me login but I had a mb2 civic with a few mods and just today I went out too my pride and joy to find someone had managed to pretty much write the car off while it was parked up and the twisted the back axle and bent the chassis at the drivers door with substantial damage to the whole right side of the car, the picture doesn't look like much damage but at the garage it was confirmed as a write off, so I will be looking for another civic like mine as I have stainless steel manifold, induction kit setup back box and a few other bits and bobs type R rear spoiler that would fit onto another 5 door civic but I am looking for another 5 door civic preferably with the 1.6 vtec or d16y engine [ one with 126 bhp ] as insurance is looking to pay out come the 31st of august and I have been struggling to find a suitable replacement and any help would be extremely appreciated .
