MBBREAKERS Posted April 7, 2010 Share Posted April 7, 2010 no the gasket for the manifold is a kinda metal plate won't need one of those when you change the gasket , clean the sump and bottom of the block so there is no oil there , and put a small beed of silcone on the sump to hold the gasket in place as you put it on as can be a right fiddley little bitch Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sega Posted April 8, 2010 Share Posted April 8, 2010 I agree its fiddly, I had to change my sump as some tw@t who serviced my car before I got it over tightened the plug and had caused the thread to strip.Make sure you have plenty of penatrating fluid to hand as well as the bolts can be stiff.
