Vtec not kicking in yo!

HELP!

I've just had my injectors refurbished and put back in and ever since (it's been a couple of weeks now) the Vtec has been acting up so to speak.

Usually it engages at 4500 like clockwork and the crossover is instantaneous.

Now sometimes it comes and goes on full throttle, engages and disengages, sometimes doesn't engage at all. It even sounds like it's only engaging on one of the cams not both simultaneously which sounds awful. The crossover sounds bizarre.

Is it even possible for the Vtec to only engage on one cam? Why would it drop in and out as well?

Please help as this is the last thing I need right now!

Anybody any ideas what could be causing this or how it can be rectified?

Thanks.

I just thought that as soon as I got out there. Should any lights come on for low oil? Do the B18C4 burn a lot of oil because I have found myself topping it up quite a bit but there are no obvious signs of a leak?

What else could cause a lot of oil use?

I can even hear the Vtec "bolts" disengaging on the way back down the rpm from a full throttle lift off. I'm assuming this ain't normal either.

I'm currently using Motul 8100 X-cess 5w40. Is that the correct oil?

The oil must have been low as it seems to be back to normal now that I've topped it up!

Thanks for the help guys!

The sump could be dented as the car is on the frickin tiles tbh!

Where's the solenoid gauze and how could I check or replace it?

I used youtube to see where it's located and it looks very dirty and oily pretty much round all the bolts on the side where it's joined to the head. Could this mean it needs cleaned and a new gasket kit? Could this be where all my oil is going as there doesn't seem to be any other leaks. The block is relatively clean as well
