KiNK43 Posted November 22, 2010 Share Posted November 22, 2010 hey,yesterday i did some work on the dials. i had all the instruments out but was very careful with them.now when i turn the ignition to II or start the car, My temp guage shoots straight up to max even if the engine is stone cold.any ideas what i have done to it????thanks. jake Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ep82 Posted November 22, 2010 Share Posted November 22, 2010 See, I would love the glowing dash like yours but this is what I am afraid off. the needles dont line up/faulty after you put them back.I dont know anything about this but, if the last resort,how about turn it to II and then pull the needle out when it hits the top and re-put it back on to cold position? KiNK43 Posted November 22, 2010 Author Share Posted November 22, 2010 yeah im a bit gutted at the minute, was sooooooooooooooo careful with them.theres no solder exposed i siliconed everything to hold in place.i suppose i'll have to find a spare from a breakers.does anyone know if rover one may work?? leicester scrap yards never have hondas, but its like a rover graveyard!!!thanks for help so far.
