hey,

yesterday i did some work on the dials.

i had all the instruments out but was very careful with them.

now when i turn the ignition to II or start the car, My temp guage shoots straight up to max even if the engine is stone cold.

See, I would love the glowing dash like yours but this is what I am afraid off. the needles dont line up/faulty after you put them back.

I dont know anything about this but, if the last resort, how about turn it to II and then pull the needle out when it hits the top and re-put it back on to cold position? :?::?:

theres no solder exposed i siliconed everything to hold in place.

i suppose i'll have to find a spare from a breakers.

does anyone know if rover one may work?? leicester scrap yards never have hondas, but its like a rover graveyard!!!

thanks for help so far.

that is an option i suppose it may work???

but the reason i didnt pull needles off is because they do feel like your going to break something. so i just left them alone and carefully worked around it.

Theres only one way it can go in. The screws into the guage make contact at the back. I think your right though theres a short or loose conection somwhere. Will have a look when get time! Thanks dude
