What aftermarket wheels will fit MB6?

For as far as I can tell there are 4 types of wheel that will fit an MB6, all OEM:

  • - ITR 4-lug wheel (with spacers as I've read here)
    - The standard 5-spoke VTI wheels that I currently have
    - The VTI-S speedline Chrono wheels (also available as after market items but not sure whether these can also be bought with ET (offset) 50 or 55)
    - The Accord ET 50 5 double spoke wheels

As I'm not a huge fan of spacers due to all the horror stories about excessive drive shaft wear etc. and have learned that usually the max that you should deviate from the original ET is 5 mm I'm wondering whether there are any aftermarket wheels available that have 4x114,3 and that have an ET value around 50. And also what your experiences are with different ET values.

I have always had a soft spot for Volk TE37's but they're only available with ET values ranging from 0 up to 45, depending on size and width.

I have seen an MB6 on the internet with these wheels and must say that it looked amazing, I'm just worried that they will compromize the handling etc. and I don't want to splash out on these expensive wheels without knowing for certain that they won't cause handling issues.

As finding wheels for the MB6 is a huge challenge when taking ET and stud pattern into account I think that it would be great if you could share your experiences with ET values, wheel sizes and any specific after market wheels that you have found and/or currently have under your car.

i'm now running 16" dezent type j on a 40 offest. before was running 17" team dynamics pro race on a 35 offset and they were pushed way too far out. as soon as i work out how to do it i'll get some pics up. think my next set will be a set with 45offset

Thank you guys for your help. The first set is a bit too dominant looking for me but I definately like those teg replica's, I have seen the gunmetal ones on an MB6 before on a forum, I think it was here.

Still have a weak spot for TE-37's though...

From what I gather, based on your answers, 40-45 offset would be the best. I'll check whether my parts supplier might be able to find a good second hand set of TE's and see whether I survive the estimated quote. If not those Teg replica's are a good reserve option.

Edit: I have found the pictures of the MB6 with Teg replica rims, it's BlamesVTI-S and must admit that they look very nice indeed.

Hello guys, it's been a while, but I'm also considering buying a TE37 and I have same concerns about ET. I don't want to compromise handling too so I am looking for an 15x6,5 inch 4x114.3 PCD and now offset 35 is too much out? Should I search more and try to get at least ET40 or better ET45? I'm plannig to run 195/50 R15 tire.

Also I still haven't found an original ET of OEM 5 spoke 15x6 for MB6, somhwere they claim that original ET is 45, but somhere else they say 50 or 55. I can do the math, estimate the difference from OEM, but I have no reliable starting point to count with.

Thanks in advice.
