Hi guys and great job on the forum. I am after info on exhaust and engine harness. I am wanting to swap a b16 motor into my mc1 aerodeck. I know people will ask why a b16 and the answer is that i love the engine and i want something different. Anyway i am after info on exhaust compatibility and also wether i could use the b18 engine loom as it would be easyer i guess as the aerodeck 'vti' ect. Also does anyone know of places to buy bolt on exhausts for the aerodeck?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

There are a few dfferences in the loom mate. B18 uses a IAb in the manifold, which also has a sensor.

If you buying an engine and box to do a conversion, your best bet is to use a B18 with a S80 (INtegra Type R) gearbox, or the Y21 box from a 1.6 VTi.

That way you get the extra bit of grunt from the B18, but the closer ratios of the DC2 / B16 box!

Hi Mate. You can get exhausts for the deck from mongoose, Powerflow etc and a few others. Not sure on off the shelf though, as these are all custom built exhausts from the above.

For the engine swap, there will be a few issues with the wiring on either of the B's. You'll need the ecu for the B16 aswell unless your going for a programable ecu, as it's a different set up altogether from the B18. I like the idea of the B16 in the deck! It's deff do-able, as its been done countless times in ej9 and eg civics. A good autospark will be able to wire the lot up for you. Have you already got the engine?
