  1. Can I also ask what is involved with the front fork mod to lower it down a bit?? I did a quick search to no avail.
  2. Thanks guys. Yea where ever I look for replacements there is always two options, as said, depending on chassis number. Ok I will get the early numbered one then and see how it goes. Hey, thank you all for your help. Appreciate it much
  3. Ok thanks. But there is two different ages of springs depending on chassis number?!?
  4. Hi guys. Need some help. Time has come to replace the broken front spring on the ZS180 Suspension I have fitted to my MC2. Now im finding it really difficult to find a replacement for this as there is two different springs to chose from. (depending on MG chassis number) Does anyone know what the differences is between the two?? Or should I just get a front set of 120 springs? Cheers guys
  5. Hey Simpo, just seen the post, you get the leaks fixed?
  6. X2 on that. If both your pipes are getting hot and it's still doing it, and you have double checked for vac leaks, then either the valve is still getting stuck or it just may of had it. From our experience they don't like to be messed with. Another good thing to try is remove the intake pipe, cover the IACV hole in the TB with ur finger and start the motor. if it idles normal (when hot) then you know its the valve.Hope you get it sorted.
  7. Think the MTec discs are on the menu for u then Jamal lol. good stuff
  8. More expensive or less? I have heard about Mintex stuff being good but being that I haven't used them then I can't comment any further than that. Good luck and keep us posted on what u use
  9. Any latest news on the rack mod? Thinking of doing this as my inner rack ends are on there way out.
  10. SWEET. Thanks chap. Yea my mate dave has a carb'd mk2 gold that we have just finished building. Full strip and poly bush ect. Thanks again. :)
  11. Have ya got a post code so I can google map it, it's quite a drive! But I may just do that. can a carb'd mk2 golf come along?
  12. Yup that sound about right. Go for it, u will love it :). One very important bit of advise, DO NOT hard use them until u have done at least 100 miles light use on them, if u bed them in hard it will usualy warp the discs, and trying to skim groved and drilled/dimpled discs is a bloody nightmare!!
  13. I was actually looking at MTec discs. I have not heard much about them so was wondering how good they were. I've got m-tec all round and my mate has them aswell! top quality even better if you get the black edition! X2
  14. They are pretty good, i work for honda here in salisbury and we fit them if cust request an upgraded disc . As i said, i have been using them, my mate has them on his mb6. we both use them real heavy too. mine havent cracked yet (as alot of cheap drilled discs do). so 10/10 for the discs. As for the pads, well i have used them in various cars now for 5+ years and have stuck by them. MTec have a new website up now to. Or just give them a call. great value for money.
