KiNK43
Like I said my mate had mb1. Was far quieter than my mb6. I get loads of tyre noise and also engine noise when windows up. I wouldnt worry about it. B series very noisy engine compared to d series any way.
Gav_ek4
this is like the difference between an 05 plate vectra and my eg though, constant drone, having to shout over the noise...mb1 was really nice and relaxing to drive, quite quiet, very little wind noise in the cabin...i even wondered if there was a bung missing from the bulkhead due to the amount of road noise in the mb6
Gav_ek4
i also have a coupe with a b18 fitted and its also far quieter than my mb6 ...although my eg is the worst and my ek4 was rather loud as well
KiNK43
must admit went on the m1 briefly last night 80 mph, absolutely hurrendous road noise. much worse than normal and dont know why. strange
johngreen537
Wind noise.. Wind your window down the smallest amount possible!Sounds daft I know, but the seals on my MB6 seem to get pushed a little if the window is all the way to the top.Litterally tap the down button as fast as you can and i gets better
KiNK43
Il give that a go, my noise is tyre noise from the rear. Mind you not got the parcel shelf in. Probably that quietens it a lil.
