The dash has a virtual dipstick, but it only reads it every 15 minutes!So if I change the oil, check the level, then have to add more, I have to wait 15 minutes before it will give me a new reading! Clever, but irratating if you know what you are doing. Ideal for the Mrs though, she can go in shop, buy what it says on the tin and just pour it in without worrying! scottravenhill Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 I think BMW servicing is annoying. its in one week for an oil service then the next its.asking for a check service. Its so that if you do low mileage they can get you in twice a year rather than once and look for work to do then charge you 120 an hour. which is ok if you know what you're on about. Whereas the general public will get conned easily. Twice year rather than once. It's a shame Honda have gone onto condition based servicing too now. Except they never exceed about 70 per hour!
