Kenobi
The Hondaprofessor who is in the states has asked if i have a stock p9k ecu in my motor.Apparently if i have one if these I dont need to buy a harness I can just shave the plug? that sounds like some gay slang term?Anyway its chrome im going for not hondata apparently.so how do i know if what type of ecu i have? KiNK43
It does say on the ecu what model it is amongst all the other crap.If yours is standard on an mb6 then it will be a p9k. They all the same.
KiNK43
I think if your swapping to obd1 like p72 or p30 or something, yeah you can just trim a little nub off the plug and they fit.
Kenobi
Thanks for that Kink.Hey i see you r in Leicester, Fancy a rolling road session Sunday?
johngreen537
Above all correct mate, basically, the MB6 has a ODB1 harness, and a ODB2 ECU. So by trimming a bit off the plastic plug on the 'A' connector, you can plug in an ODB1, P28/P30, OR P72 is plug and play almost! P72 need knock sensor disabling on the base map though...
