You may need to re-pin a couple of wires depending on the ECU you have. Remember that a P28 is OBD1 and your MB6 will be OBD2a or OBD2b.

I have a bunch of pin-out diagrams if you're unsure. If memory serves, your immobiliser will probably be gone too as the P28 has no IMMO chip slot.

I did the OBD swap when I went turbo, re-pinning isn't hard, just time consuming. Oh & try not to slice into your finger when trimming the a plug,............it hurts. :o:oops:

even the p72 you still need to chip first. otherwise you gonna have CEL all the time for knock sensor and what not.

but still better option i think ay. no mucking about for the IABs etc.

Hi guys thanks for all the info sorry for the late reply.

i've got it running with the p28 with chip kit from h-tune with c4 map but i got a problem with it when i leave the car over night i get a flat battery i think its got somthing to do with the alternator relay i have a new battery so its not that and it works perfect with p9k so if anyone got any ideas whats happening i'd be very greatful cheers 1"£££$££"
