johngreen537
Yes for P28 mate! Much fiddling around and a basemap will be required, IAB's need sorting, knock sensor disabling! Not a quick bolt on job!
Guest jammy550
Thanks for the reply mate so connections will be ok its just the maps that need tweeking ?
johngreen537
Yeah mate, you need to shave a bit off plug A (i think), otherwise, plugs sraight in.
FREAKBOY
You may need to re-pin a couple of wires depending on the ECU you have. Remember that a P28 is OBD1 and your MB6 will be OBD2a or OBD2b. I have a bunch of pin-out diagrams if you're unsure. If memory serves, your immobiliser will probably be gone too as the P28 has no IMMO chip slot. I did the OBD swap when I went turbo, re-pinning isn't hard, just time consuming. Oh & try not to slice into your finger when trimming the a plug,............it hurts. johngreen537
P72 is the best bet for the MB6....Plug an play, and gives chipping options later!
KiNK43
even the p72 you still need to chip first. otherwise you gonna have CEL all the time for knock sensor and what not.but still better option i think ay. no mucking about for the IABs etc.
