98 spec dc2 jdm header onto mb6

Just wondering if anyone has fitted one to there mb6.

Stock mb6 collector is 2" (i think)and the Teg jdm one is 2.5". Will I need a different flange or should it fit straight on?

Iv got a decat fitted using the standard flanges off the cat so basically it's going onto a stock mb6 exhaust flange.

if its a 2.5" flange on manifold you will need a de-cat with flange which is suited to 2.5" plus 2.5" donut gasket.....theres a huge difference between the standard MB6 cat/de-cat copmared with 2.5" teg stuff.....however i have a 2.5" downpipe with 2.5" adjustable de-cat....the de-cat to B pipe does fit as theres only fractionally a difference with 2.5" and 2 1/4"....the triangular 3 bolt flange mates with B pipe....BUT if you have a stock standard B pipe dont bother.....its way too small....it wont with fix to decat 2 1/4"..hopethis helps....

The 4-2 part is cast on b16, and tubular on b18 so no point changing. However changing the down pipe does make a difference as stock mb collector is tiny. My brother has a b18 top, and jdm Teg down pipe (2.25" collector) and it breathes much better.

I got my friend to get the mb onto ramps to see what needed doing to fit the 98spec header as heard alot of stuff off people.

Basically, the flange on the cat facing the header needs to be cut, and twisted slightly to fit the manifold. Everything else lines up fine. Only problem is my decat is tiny compared to the 98spec collector so iv ordered a 2.5" adjustable decat from tegiwa. Should be a bolt on job once that arrives.
