Just noticed my MB6 has no spigot rings on the rear!

I just got done swapping my tyres around both N/S tyres were same but O/S were two different, so i put the N/S Rear onto O/S Front which also corrected tyre rotation  so now I have same tyres on front really reduced the pulling while accelerating, but I noticed neither rear wheel has a spigot ring, is this a massive worry? the more I do the more I find that the last owner was a massive bodge artist so many little things bodged I'm starting to think this the car will never be right  . I wish I had someone who knew a bit about MB6's when I bought the bloody thing :( .

You can get away with no spigot ring as the nuts are tapered & will centre the wheel on installation, although to be honest, spigot rings are like £6 a set; I'd just get them ordered as a matter of course. Unfortunately, I don't see the problems you mention being related to spigot rings; generally if the wheel is off centre you'd get vibration, not pulling so much. If the front wheels had different amounts of wear with the old tyre combo, they'll have been different diameters (really quite significant difference is possible), so that could be one explanation for the improvement in pulling you've seen. Suggest you get tracking, tie/track rod ends and bushings checked over.

get the spigot rings asap the wheels are held tight with the wheel nuts but the load is on the spigot ring not the wheel bolts

i had a teg wheel go on track earlier on this year ( wheel nuts checked every time i went out )i can not find the posting since the forum move on the road it may be ok but i will never run a car with out or advise some one not too esp when they are not expensive

Spigot Rings are used to ensure that an alloy wheel is correctly centred on to the hub of the vehicle. If an alloy wheel is fitted without spigot rings it will probably cause the wheel to vibrate, make it almost impossible to balance, increase uneven tyre wear and in time will work the fixings loose. So, fitting wheels without spigot rings can be very dangerous.

wow thats some impressive wheel breakage going on there!

think maybe spigot rings are top of my shopping list now then!

must admit i did buy some from the uk rota distributor and they were the wrong size. so just didnt bother after that.

thanks for the advice!
