Short ratio box

Im looking to drop my quarter mile times and im thinging the best way is to go for a shorter ratio box, id love an S80 but cant afford one so thats out the question, what is the difference. Between the S4c and Y21 bar the LSD?

Also does any one kno if the final drive from a S4c fit in the S9b? As i can get a s4c box but the mount has snapped off along with the casing!?

tbh buddy i say the s9b box is good enough helps me go past ep3s and b16 easily and personally i think short radio gearboxs will slow tbe mb down but will just give you abit more of a aggressive feel

I can pass the ep3s but the problem is i hit the rev limiter in 3rd just before quarter mile and only get a split second in 4th, 1st gear of the s9b is brill for drag just a shame the iabs get missed in 2nd.

Possibly consider keeping the s9b & getting an ecu with a fairly stock basemap but with the iab/rev limit altered slightly? Much cheaper than a new box!

defo double on this.. get your car re-mapped and vtec lowered with a skunk 2 inlet manifold. unless your g/box is knackered dont bother.
