Centre Console Removal

Assuming you mean the same ones, this person seems to have had this problem.

To summarise, he says the honda has screws which are exposed to the elements under the car, apparently the rover and MG use bolts instead which might fare better. As for removing the screws, he had to drill one out, not sure what you can do except persevere, have you tried putting a bit of wd-40 on it?

Yeah Mike these two screws are an absolute nightmare to get off.have you tried wd40-ing them from underneath the car, so it goes right onto the rusty part of the screw? you prob will have to drill em out. If you can, get the 2 bolts from a rover 400/45, so much better! Dunno why honda didnt use them in the first place!

as above with dave and the bolts off a rover. i know jap cars all the bolts a recycled and remade so maby thats why they are crap and soft. but then again these cars are english so ???
