Dave Posted November 23, 2009 Share Posted November 23, 2009 Hi there. Theres a number of places the water can get in on these cars. Check the seal around the rear lights, the seal around the tailgate, and possibly the sunroof drain rails. If its under the rear seat (i take it you mean the rear bench squab?) then this would probably be the tailgate seal or sunroof drain as mentioned. Best way to find out for sure is this...get someone to spray water on the rear of the car with a hose, while you are in the rear. Get them to start at the bottom, with the rear lights. Watch for any signs of water coming in on both the rear lights. If none, then get them t0 spray it a bit further up the tailgate, a little bit at a time till they reach the top of the tailgate. Do this up both sides, then across the top.If still none, then it could be the sunroof drain (theres info elsewhere in the forum on this). You can also get them to spray it round the rear doors, again start at the bottom and work the way up to see if its coming in there.
