Civicsport5
My mb3 has developed A strange central locking issue, open . Close. Open. Close. Open . Close .............all by itself .I first noticed it when I went to go to work today and it was doing it, I don't actually own the key fob as it never came with the car so it can't be that being accidentally pressed, the car has been getting rather damp recently due to the air con drain pipe not being connected on the passenger side!Other than that its been very cold here -2 most of the time!Any ideas what could be causing it? Civicsport5
I think I'm going to take the drivers door panel off tomorrow and and spray acf50 around all the lock mechanism as I think the electrics are getting damp in there! Civicsport5
Failing that do you know where the fuse is for the central locking as I don't realy want my battery going flat!
djbarrick
First thing you need to do is fix the leek in the a pillar. The water is coming in at a joint in the roof under the rubber seal near the windscreen.Next pull off the black dome near the interior light. It's the receiver for the ir remote. Take this out and removeThe wire. You will see that it's corroded making your central locking go crazy. Replace/repair and it's all fixed!
