Thats a good link noodels, lots of info.

Just to be clear obviously don't bother to buy a Spoon battery ;) , but would be a good idea to go for a gel type (eg Tegiwa sell Odyssey for about £100, or you can get cheaper unbranded ones if you look around). There should not be any drop off in performance- lead acid batteries are a pretty victorian level of technology and you don't want one flying around you boot in a crash.

so far i need

4.5m of 0awg

battery connectors

2x 150amp fuses

distrubution block fused

battery tray(do i bolt in or weld in...????)

and a gel battery

anything else......??????

why does all my cheap mods start hurting my pockets....????? :lol::lol::lol:

Or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just leave it and get other things sorted :idea:

i was wanting an easy mod to do in the garage while we have this white stuff falling from the sky :roll: think you could be right might do the camer arms and get a geo done instead :lol:

Find a scrapyard with an MX5 they have their batteries in the boot as standard and use the parts from that ;)

the mx5 is about 3 foot to short what bmw's can i hack up...???? i think i remember my old e30 having a battery in the boot

Find a rear engined car with the battery in the front- then fit in reverse! :lol:

I think you need to add cutoff switch to your list. If you just go for a gel battery in the original position to start with you would get a lot of the effect for less hassle, then wait for better weather before pulling out the carpets and trim to do the full job.
