What could be causing the knocking then , I'm worried it may be a failed shock n cost a fortune , but if I park up n rock the car there is no knocking and damping is fine , only knocks when travelling :/

Check its not being caused by loose items in the boot or spare wheel well. Could also be rear doors or tailgate loose on the locks/ loose brake shield/ loose shock top mounts. Most likely candidate is the trailing arm bush- usually more of a dull thud than a metallic sound, easy to check visually. Otherwise knackered bush on the lower control arm (probably shock mount).

Hi i had my deck in garage today had all bushes n mounts and exhaust n mounts checked and everything was spot on :S but the knocking is still thete , mechanic said it sounds more like loose exhaust baffles but exhaust is fine , he said last guess would be top mount on rear shock , can you tell me how i access it so can check it out please

Thanks ramy
