Hop78
Can anyone give me information on doing a d16z6 swap to an mb2, it's getting a full swap with a p28 ecu and then the vtec wired indirectly to the ecu, is there anything else I need or any problems I can expect to come across?Cheers
Krzys
Should be reasonably straight forward I'd have thought!
Hop78
I'm hoping, just wasn't sure if there was anything else apart from the vtec wire I would have to do
simpo
Can't you just change the head? Search mini me vtec conversion on google
EmZvr
Can't you just change the head? Search mini me vtec conversion on google D16Z6 will be faaar more superior than a mini me D14. Also Z6 has a lot of potencial, it puts out 125hp at only 9.2:1 compression ratio.
simpo
^^^ surly it won't be much different as ur be using the z6 head ?
EmZvr
Well yes but the head is only small part of the package, one is 1.4 liter engine, the other 1.6 That really is gonna make a difference. Especially with our heavy cars. Everyhting is better on Z6 - block, head, intake manifold, gearbox and etc.
Hop78
It's cheaper doing the engine swap, by the time you d**k about doing the head gasket and timing you could buy a b18 conversion, I've got the d16z6 engine and the ecu to suit, think the only thing I will have to do is hardware the vtec to the ecu, I dont suppose anyone knows which pin the vtec wire's to on the ecu?
