ash d-series
I put my foot down now and again and the car stutters and takes a while before the power kicks in. Also if im on the motorway or trying to maintain a constant speed it starts to die away and i have to put my foot down to keep it at the same speed. Anybody got any ideas? Im thinking its the fuel pump but not 100% sure
Dave
really hard to say mate, without being in the car. it could be crap in the injectors, faulty dizzy cap/rotar arm, dodgy plug leads, and like you say, fuel pump. whats the car like for starting, from both cold and normal op temp? ash d-series
yeah, il give the fue pump a try first anyway as i got given one with the car. It starts first time every time witout fault unless its quite low on fuel then it sometimes takes a bit longer
Dave
That sounds even more like the fuel pump then mate. Let us know if changing it makes any difference, and if you need more help just ask and we'll see what we can do
