mb6vti
I have just collected my newly sprayed bodykit. The bodyshop took receipt of the kit on Monday and were finished by Thursday morning as they were quiet.Upon collecting the kit I got told that the paint is still soft and to be careful but it can be mounted on the car. I then enquired how long before the paint hardens and got told a couple of weeks.I have 2 quick questions:1. Should I install the kit or leave it off until the paint hardens?2. There is some overspray on the inside of the front/rear lips - how to remove this? Many Thanks
civicturbo79
If you can i would leave it off as stones will smash the paint off real easy , as for the over spray why would you want to remove it once they are on no one will ever see it . mb6vti
Thanks for the reply Rich - I know you know your stuff about spraying - so how long would you advise I wait before fitting the kit?
civicturbo79
The paint is touch dry after a 40 min bake in the oven but this time a year if it was on the car it can take up to 2 months to fully go off if you can leaving it in your house for some heat 2 weeks will be fine .
