  1. Just to back up what Paul (Knight) said, this comp is open to everyone. As long as it's a Civic M, it can be entered into the comp. Owner entries are welcomed just as much as members putting other members cars up for the comp. If anyone doesn't like a car that's been entered, or how its been entered into the comp, keep those thoughts to yourselves please as they serve no purpose in this thread.Just vote for another car!! Peace everyone!! grouphugg.gif1 .

Very tough comp this month guys! Superb entries, I'd vote for em all if I could!  8-)

  2. I've heard mixed reviews on swapping the inlet manifolds mate, so not too sure. imo the original inlet is probably the best one for the job, but maybe some of the other members can shed some light on this.

  3. Jammy jammy booger!!!!!! I've hunted ebay and the likes for ages and can never find them! Mae (Neela-mb1) found some which were French! Even in the original dealer folder type thingy!!  If I remember rightly, the last of the mb6 and mc2 were just under 18 grand new!

  4. I've got the coilovers on mine (MeisterR) and dropped it around an inch (possibly slightly more)(which is around 30mm) and slightly less at the rear. Haven't had many issues so far, manages up kerbs no probs, and only one speedbump so far has caused any type of grounding. The speedbump was exceptionally high though, a lot higher than most! Other speedbumps have caused no issues at all.

So reckon 30mm will suit your needs fine mate. Not sure about the rutted track roads though, will depend on how deep the ruts are. :wink:post-2844-0-06209300-1376778161_thumb.jppost-2844-0-03302400-1376778184_thumb.jp

  5. nice one on the wheel mate - bet it doesn't feel like driving a bus anymore :)

so will you just be doing 6 months tax and SORN?

Yeah mate, that's the plan. And during the taxed 6 months, mileage will be kept to a minimum. Noticed the mileometer on the way home this morning..........3 miles till she hits 80.000 miles! So by this time tomorrow, she'll be into the 80's (bit like me!) When she reappears next year, she'll mainly be travelling to meets/shows only. With the occasional weekend run thrown in. Same goes for Dawns deck too, and she's only on 64'000 miles (iirc)

  6. lol yeah mate, was first proper drive of her, was brilliant fun! Going to be using her again to go to work tonight too, just can't get enough lol. Plus the tax runs out October, so won't be taxing her again until the spring summer time next year. She'll be all cuddled up next to Dawns deck in the garage till then 8-)

That wheel has got to be one of the best mods I've bought so far, along with the suspension. Transforms the car eh!

  7. Ok, said i wasnt buying anything else for Ruby for a while, but guess what? I have!! lol Been after one of these for absolutely ages, and finally one came up for sale right here on Civic5! Honda Integra DC2 TypeR steeringwheel (Momo) with airbag.

Fitting was a piece of cake, easy peasy. What a difference driving her with this. Slightly smaller than the oem wheel, and a lot chunkier too, makes cornering even more fun! Love the look of these, and being a genuine Honda item, keeps it oem.

Took Ruby back to St Marys Loch yesterday, first long run I've driven her on since getting the new suspension fitted. With that and the new sterring wheel, she drives epic now! Really love the grip you have on the wheel, and just looks soooo cool! Well happy! And even drove Ruby to work again tonight lol So much for me not going to se her very often! Big thanks to HarVtec for this, really amazing price and delivered quick too!

  8. Have to say even though it's good that Honda have gone back to having a civic estate/aerodeck (why tourer????) I must admit I'm deffo no fan of that! If they had based it on the previous style (same as my sexy lexy) then I think it would have looked a whole lot nicer. I had the new civic as a courtesy car for 7 weeks while Lexy was in getting stuff done, and I hated it! It was a five door, and from most angles the car looked horrendeous! Them big stupid sticky out rear lights, the pointless over bulged arches, the front, in fact the whole car was ugly! And that interior may look ok, but believe me, after having that one for so long, I still couldnt find half the bloody controls! Awful instrument layout, awful layout of the controls too.  The original FN1/FN2 are a far better design. Honda fooked up big time when they updated it to the current model. The dash just looks like any other  offering from the likes of renault/vauxhall etc, with a bit stuck on top for the speedo. Just my humble opinion lol  I'd take an original civic aerodeck over the new one any day! Old skool rules! lmao.

    Good find though mate!
