  1. Surely with the same pump smaller piping will give higher particle velocity, but more pressure loss per unit length? The same pump would produce a higher pressure at the nozzle with wider piping, the nozzle jet size will then determine the particle velocity of fluid exiting the nozzle.
  2. wider piping will help too. You'll likely have quite a unique mod then...!
  3. I'm getting a code 6 & need a new temp sensor (ecu sensor, the gauge works fine). There seem to be two types, PJ7 & PK2, which is the correct one for our Ms? Ta!
  4. first time go at it I'd give yourself 4-5 hours. Balljoints we're £30 from my local meccy/factors, don't know about fitment cost though. Probably only a couple of hours for someone that's done it a few times. A standard socket set should be enough as long as the grub screws on the discs are free enough, but that's really helped by an impact driver, as you say. The old joints take some serious smacking to get out but they will come; perseverence & faith definitely required!
  5. naa, hammer & a bit of wood. Just make sure it's going in square. It's an arse to get the thing in or out using a press anyway as the top of the knuckle is in the way.
  6. I have strongflex rear trailing bushes in OK cond, check the for sale section & let me know if you're interested. They'll come with ready-recycled metal bits!
  7. aye, thought connectors might be a possibility. That 6P connector for the fuel tank was a pain in the rear to get apart easily, shall look at that first. ...and I thought I'd done scrabbling under cars for a short while... pfff
  8. Evenin' After a load of work to suspension & fuel pump replacement I've got the engine light on. Ecu reset (battery disconnected all night) won't clear it & there's no code flashing when the two-pin connector is bridged. Any ideas?
