Sounds to me like a fuse mate!
-
Good read! Hopefully you're not far off completion?
Been a long time coming! Stealth Deck FTW!
-
Looks spot on! De-Chrome the grill next if you can dude!
Looking forward to seeing her at Japfest!!!
-
I tried to search before posting but A search and trawling through the first five pages didn't reveal anything to me!
Quick one folks, looking at starting the polybush upgrade for Becca, ZS180 Rear ARB, 20mm bushes? I know they need to be bigger than the standard MB ones, just can't remember the size!
Ta in advance!

Moving again youth? New whoring pics look awesome, can really see the purple!
Thanks mate , Yep on the move again but only 2 miles away! so easy move!
Not too bad then! Good luck with it!
Loving the engine bay, gleaming!

Might be worth search to see if Spoon do any bushes, their's are generally black and I'm pretty sure you'd be able to get them to go with the mix of parts you have?
-
Looks stunning with the lip on!
Quick/daft question, how hard was the rear lip to fit?
-
Taxi to the kurb sir?
I don't usually like sunstrip stickers but that actually looks alright!
-
Ok guys i will take both cars out for a spin!
Brings a new meaning to car slag
-
If it's above MAX then there's too much oil in there which may be causing the smoke?
-
The MB6 is such a brilliant all rounder though! I love it because I can do everything I want/need to do without any real compromise!
Sound like a tv ad
And then came the MC2
Mine handles like one at the minute while I'm without the rear ARB
But I did have one a few years back, shame it was a nail though because I loved it! Proper sleeper

Do you think the reset has made a difference?
Yeah! Feels like everything is working together now, more fine tuned (hard to explain really) got to be driving it to hear and feel it!
When you go for your dyno run I'll let you have a go in Becca and you'll be able to really compare the difference then! Though I can imagine how different all the little bits have made it feel!

Great build up (not sure about the stickers though - sorry!)
Noticed you mention in you first post you used to have an EK4. How do you find the MB compares? Im off to view one this weekend, and having also prev owned an EK4 Im expecting the MB to feel a bit wobbly. Excited to be back in a car with a b series under the hood either way!
I tell you what, a lot of the characteristics are the same, I love it! You'll notice with the LSD that the front tucks in better into the corners! Though in standard form she does roll a fair bit but because at the time I went from an X-Trail to the MB6 it took me a while to notice!
2nd gear is a bitch, find yourself about 500rpm out of VTEC when giving it beans but I have a plan for that instead of a VTEC controller or replacing the gearbox but that's long term stuff!
The MB is still quite light and still upsets the bigger cars like the EK, engine note is the same! Love it!
D
Yeah the presence of the LSD is a def plus, driven an ITR and the way that bit into corners on power was excellent. I'm coming from a CL6 Accord, which to be fair is a pretty sharp drive for a car of it's size, but it's just a bit dull.
Out of interest, was yours advertised on Autotrader? I recall seeing one up with stupidly low mileage and thought "that must be dodgy". Looks like I was wrong if yours is that same one! Prime example of a mint car, shame those knuckle-dragging primates vandalized it.
Yeah she was on the trader at the bottom for ages! Buxton auto centre or something, I saw it and rang the bloke up who was happy to give me the V5C reference so I could run the MOT history check (its free and confirmed the mileage) and I was there in a shot, wasn't even a planned purchase!
Yeah I'm gutted about the damage to the paint but I have plans to deal with that in next month or two when funds allow

I wouldn't mind doing some head work on mine for more revs but I think I will save and do the bottom end too so that there's no weak points! Loads of money needed but it's mine to spend

I had a similar symptoms with my EK4, couldn't engage gears without matching the revs and when at a standstill in gear with the clutch pressed it was as if I kept lifting and dropping it causing the car to jolt forwards.
Turned out a clamp was broke causing the shaft to move about and randomly engage gears etc, a complete clutch pack sorted it though.
-
Hmmmm interesting, I never thought about that, when I do get round to sorting my suspension properly (coilovers) I'll have to get the tracking looked at and see if the camber is out or not but when I had my EK4 it was miles out after lowering, I guess the double w/b will hold it where it is but not correct it if that makes sense?

Have a look here buddy!

Thats cool. I thought it would have to be like that, as I doubt it starts without the fuses. But figured it was best to check lol
Thanks mate
No worrys! I done a ecu reset today my vti! Alot better now!
About time too
Do you think it's made any difference?

When you changed the gearstick gaitor can you just unclip the surround somewhere or does the whole centre console have to be moved?
when you change the gaitor, the plastic bit around the gear stick can be removed it is held in by 2 metal clips, you pull on it from closest to the centre console, i used some knives on the sides to pry it out its pretty easy and just take your time
Cheers dude! Was hoping it wasn't going to be a ballache!
I do like what you've done so far though!
I was going to use the same idea as you for gaitor and knob, just confirms how it'll look, want a short shifter too though
nah its not hard at all the only bad thing is the original leather gaitor is stapled in very tightly!
thanks, yeh ive been hearing good tings about short shifters, what do they actually do?
They shorten the throw of the gear stick, the idea being you don't have as much travel between gears and should be able to quicken your gear changes
I want to change my shift stabiliser bushes at the same time too, don't want much do I?
They will make the changes smoother and feel really good, I've changed those bushes on the last few cars I've had
ah i see are they easy to install? it sounds pretty good to me, will definitely look into it more thanks!
I haven't done it myself but I am pretty sure they're easy enough!

No worries about the stickers, I was bored! To be honest though I haven't ordered anymore even though I had planned to, I think I'm out of that phase
bastichs doing that to your car. Maybe have a crack with a rotary to polish it out yourself or speak to a few detailers in your area? Check out detailing world for scratches there have been some good results with dealing with scratches. They definitely need a cleaver to the neck tho twunts!I use the tesco 99 ron; I wouldn't desecrate my MC2's insides with that 95 muck
First thing I did was visit a mate who does detailing and then my mates at a bodyshop, a good amount would come out with a lot of effort but parts are down to primer so sadly she does need paining, luckily though I've got a bit of touch up paint so I went over it the other week, going to go over again this weekend, just wish I had the money to sort it out but I guess waiting is good too!
She'll look awesome once she's sorted
