  2. Hello everyone, not been on here for ages as been living the boring bora life. Things are changing and now doing alot less miles plus looking to buy a van so once again can get something quick, japanese and petrol! Something I can actually take out for a drive for fun! My budget is tight £1500 max as selling my Bora for £3000 hopefully and need more money for a van So im thinking MB6 Mazda mx5 Rev4 mr2 NA Delsol I dont need anything practical, i really like the Del sols but good ones hard to find Anyway if anyone spots anything let me know please (In Sussex so no Scottish cars etc please!)

  5. Cheers Kyfer yeah lets just hope its not the block lug! Lowloader picking it up thursday...vag piece of s****
  6. Kyfer is it the bolts that attach to the block do you reckon?
  7. Out of all the things...turbo, clutch, etc that usually go the last thing i would expect would be a engine mount! Just hope its not damaged the belt
  8. You can see the mount pushing on plastic timing belt cover
  9. Not taking it back to him Nik, cant be driven anyway the cam cover is catching on the belt now. So going to have to get it recoverd to local garage and fixed. Just hope the can do it quickly as i cant get to work with out it (26 mile trip or two hour train journey) Another mechanic i know says its gonna be big job if bolts have snapped as you cant get too them to drill out. Need this like a hole in the head, just bloody knew i shouldnt have sold my back up car...
  10. Gonna have a look now in the daylight, also see if the engines moving around much
  11. Hmmm interesting just read that the mount has to be removed for a timing belt change and the bolts are torque to yield bolts that can only be used once.... 'someone who is knowledgeable about TDI's(definitely NOT the dealers). Please do a search here under broken engine mount-you will discover that most people had the TB changed by the dealer or "someone who works on diesels"-the TB on your car has TTY bolts (torque to yield) -that means they are ONE TIME USE ONLY BOLTS!!!!!! ' Whats the bet this is what happened...?
  12. Just lean on it mate (i am quite heavy!) Hopefully not mate only had the belt done a couple of months ago
  13. I know mate, just been on a 500 mile trip and no worries now just started doing this...
  14. Right any mechanics help me please, cars started making terrible noise coming from engine bay, first noticed it on reversing but also does on slowing down, like a very loud vibration/grinding, as you look at engine bay its on the left hand side, new wing/side of engine near expansion. Please see video, also when i lean on the rocker cover it does it and take weight off it stops...possible dogbone or engine mount? http://youtu.be/TO2jCr3AUYc
