  1. Better happen this week Nick or ill be down to see your man! Cheers mate, almost mint as well
  2. Ok couldnt wait for the tyres to come so got the wheels on, poke out a fair bit more as these are et32 and old one et42, but still just in the arch (weird when you can see the rear wheel rolling in your mirror though!) Nice side view, rolling radius actually not that different which is a bit annoying as doesent fill the arch more, but then again 40mm lowering springs will sort most of that. Old tyres 205/55/16 these 215/45/17, lower profile but still plenty of meat to absorb the bumps!
  3. Yeah Garry after speaking to a few people I think ill save for a proper remap... Next job after the wheels.. Two new tyres arriving tues
  4. Yes mate exactly! Goes without saying...got it all sitting here ready, think ill do it once new tyres fitted though
  5. I know mate, never mind booked in for thursday again, and got these to go on now as well... 17" with 225/45/17 contis on, two need replacing though which going to stick uniroyal rainsport 3's on Should look nice sprayed gunmetal
  6. Cheers nick goimg to investigate it, even if just til can get a proper remap, need some power to cheer me up driving around on this thing on stilts! Had plans to have it lowered by now, wheels sprayed at weekend and lights tinted but lost interest now
  7. Grrrrr so angry!! Got up early drove 20 miles dropped the car off, mechanic rings me at 3.30pm, 'wont have time to do it today' Why are mechanics so bloody unreliable? Ok hes cheap at £25 but I throw the bloke loads of work and ive had this booked up for two weeks, so annoying Going to book it into garage now, probably cost £100 more but least it will get done and Ill get a loan car Change of subject..anyone ever used a tuning box, revo remap £350 spoke to a bloke today with a 2008 golf tdi swears by his, only 20bhp increase but only £80
  8. So saw this and thought that looks cool ordered up these and some blue headlight film.. Be interested how that comes out, already got the film Car gets lowered at last tomorrow...cant wait
  9. My prediction was correct by the looks! Hopefully a decent hatch will win next month
  10. Yeah does feel rubbery...weird! Cheers it is weird a non metallic silver but not grey! Will be lowered next job, then wheels plastidipped black with a sprinkling of silver metalliser, then start buying some more clear coat to finish the job off Cheers mate, needs a few more layers really, gonna cost a fortune, need a compressor gun and shed really! The spray can attachment is cool though, works so much better
  11. Right well the suns out, bit windy but cant resist giving the clear plastidip a go Done boot lid and wing, bit left in the can do give you a idea how much you need. Heres the pics, the effect shows up better on wing because of how the light catches it i suppose, but pretty pleased. Definately will do the whole car, only downside a few bits of stuff blew onto it (even a bug!). Should have really cleaned the whole car first!
  12. Ill knock you one up mate next time i get the vinyl cutter out Cheers man, amazing what 20mm can do
  13. Done a few quid eh? But really want to do the wheels gunmetal, save me buying new alloys (for a bit anyway!) Cheers man! You should have a west side one being where you are God really? My grill on the mb still perfect after 6 months, think you need to degrease it well (alcohol or i think i used tar remover) and plenty of layers, think i did at least 10 maybe 15
  14. I know nick I cant! Hope they make a good difference though, really hate the arch gap, think gonna buy another pair of spacers this time either 25mm or 30mm and put on back and stick 20mm on the front, or just get some 15mm for the front
  15. Shame your redrilling really especially as no centre caps to cover, but suppose the hubcentric gonna push the wheel out too far? Love the wheels btw
  16. Too windy to do any spraying today, got a good pic of rear wheel fitment though Knocked up a bit of fresh vinyl for mine and the mrs cars
  17. No mate on thursday, all the clear plastidip arrived though so may have to do that
  18. Yeah I know! Think it may have been the angle I took the photo at. Rear pads and discs will be done next cople of months Not sure mate, decided im going to do boot first, see how much that uses up, I reckon be best to do one panel at a time. Was hoping would have it by now but only the masking tape turned up so far! Tiny bit! Does look better, even better when lowered
