  1. The wheels are all nearly done, not as perfect as it could of been done and the E-Tech white Satin looks a bit more creamier than what it should...And coilovers, hopefully these cheapy ones (I think you have these? Or posted in a thread about them?) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COILOVER-HOND ... 0186589%26 for the time being
  2. Nope, not yet See what Santa may bring me this year (or the money equivalent :D)
  3. 17/12/2012 - Primer on the first 2 wheels! by Zach@EdgeVisualMedia.com, on Flickr Finally got primer on 2 of the wheels - After vigorously cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sanding...only 2 of the 4 wheels . AND when I came back in from dropping my girlfriend home, I went to apply another layer...had a drip...stupidly decided to wipe...and now I have a patch So I've put 1 last layer on and tomorrow, I'm hopefully going to wet and dry sand them and prime them one last time, then to the paint and eventually the lacquer! Then to the last 2 wheels lol
  4. I hope so! Can't wait until I get my coilovers And I can't wait to finish these bloody wheels, especially in this weather Also, my new Honda Badge arrived so I'm going to play with that and a new grill design when I get the chance
  5. That was nuts! I had my back turned whilst taking a photo and missed that
  6. Update: I've ordered 2 cans of Etch primer from the suggested link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170876793542? ... 1439.l2649 as well as 1 can of E-Tech Alloy paint - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330820373778? ... 1439.l2649 and 1 can of E-Teck Clear Lacquer - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330820375107? ... 1439.l2649 (Thanks hickster ) and hopefully I'm going to arrange some blasting for Saturday at £13 per wheel! And here's how I'd like the car too look after all the first set of mods
  7. Such a pain in the arse to clean 2 days later and I've nearly cleaned the backs of 2...Hopefully though, a guy who comes to my pub is going to talk to his mate who sandblasts and powdercoats, as a favour...fingers crossed. And I may be ordering my coilovers in the next couple of weeks...Who needs Christmas this year! Lol
  8. There's something about your car that tickles me lol Untitled by Zach@EdgeVisualMedia.com, on Flickr
  9. It's the site I press submit and it doesn't load so I press on it again and it keeps double posting a
  10. That's the plan I shall be pestering Chandler on Facebook soon for help haha
  11. Popped to Halfords to purchase some masking tape, a plastic sheet, some degreaser/engine/wheel cleaner and the Halfords Sandpaper Project Pack (£4.99 for 10 sheets of various grits!). Had 2 hours before work so I thought I'd do a quick change on one of the sides. Apart from finding that a car has obviously scraped my rear arch in our car park this is how she looked: DEFINITELY needs to be lowered...I may purchase some 5mm spacers too for a tiny little bit of poke - or smaller soon...hmmm. Wheels are off now, original's back on now and I've left the alloys to soak. My mum was like "I wouldn't let them soak, it'll take all the paint work off..." ... Next up: clean them again, but properly and to wrap up the tyres and mask them off! Then to put money in my bank so I can purchase the White Etch Primer aswell as the alloy paint and lacquer from EightSpeedUK's eBay store
  12. I'll be popping out to get all my resources then I might fit them on 1 side to see how it looks at the moment Pictures to come!
  13. Ahh cheers for those links! May have to place an order soon! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- *UPDATE* I collected the wheels today! After having to drive 30 miles back on ourselves because my missus forgot her bank card we finally made it to Reading to pick these up All had no cracks, no deep scratches/marksn no bends and 2 of the tyres were nearly new. One did have a bit of curbing, ripping off a small portion of the lip. For some odd reason I'm caring too much about it (saves me from doing it I guess ) I'm also tempted to get plain center caps as I've just found these on Google Images: ...hmm, all white...or leave the wheels as they are (but in the gloss white?). And here is is the damage: Tomorrow (if I wake up early enough) I'll be going to get some plastic sheets from Halfords (£1.99) to cover an area of my garage, sand paper and a degreaser to clean up the wheels. I also ordered the proposed Honda Badge for my front grill mod I shall attempt to do - Who dares wins!
  14. Then with the idea in mind of slamming her, I am really tempted to debadge the front and the back, spray the chrome black and replace the Honda Badge on the front with this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-3D-Chrome ... a1&vxp=mtr and where the Honda badge on the back is, I'll have this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Civic-Bad ... 8b&vxp=mtr Big contrast in colours, but it could look mad
  15. I'm hoping it'll look good...haha but as they say, who dares wins
  16. Failing to match up the rear wheel using both images posted in this thread...Looks good though So, next on my purchase list for now will be some 3-in-1 Oil Heavy Duty Cleaner Degreaser, some sand paper, white primer, gloss white paint and a load of clear lacquer spray! Found a deal on eBay so that I can get pretty much a litre of paint, primer and lacquer for about £20ish and the Degreaser and sand paper shall be purchased from B&Q. I'll try document my progress once I get everything together
  17. I think Alpine White is typically creamier than Standard White...but BMW's Alpine White looks like white...and I think I'll have a blast now
  18. And the ultimate question, BMW Alpine White Paint from Halfords or the Gloss White paint they do...(Budget modding!)
  19. Bloody double post And thanks, quite surprised it only received 2 bidders :S And I'm still not sure about the spoiler...I'm progressively thinking about vinyl wrapping the car black, slamming her then the new white alloys...but I don't know I'll probably get some inspiration tomorrow
  20. I have just won a new set of wheels on eBay! Introducing: VW Golf Ronal 4x100 6j R14 for a whopping £38.55! Plans are to pick them up from Reading next week then attempt to paint them white, then to find some low profile tyres! After that, I'll be saving for my coilovers then I'm going to slam her...very hard indeed
