  1. @Grant, Rach doesn't like the mid spoilers, im not sure if im a fan either @Phil, yeah next plans are exhaust (currently winning one on ebay) and some oem DC2 suspension
  2. luckily it never fell off haha just made a horrible noise when you touched the accelerator lol
  3. Started my lasses Deck build to try get my posts up plus helps me keep on top of them both and reminds me what ive done lol
  4. @Tom definitely worth getting for winter wheels! i bought these with near enough new T1R's for £125 delivered!! the T1R's are on offer on ebay for £138 delivered for 4 iirc. @Grant hahaha!!! @Chandler i down shifted into a roundabout flew round it and the exhaust give up the ghost lol i knew what it was straight away but looking at it i think it was due to go anytime, luckily i had a spare in the garage and a spare cat! cheers everyone, this one is a bit slower than the mb6 build lol but it's my girlfriends and her daily so it is more about tidying it up and keeping it roadworthy more than anything else, will look completely different on dc2 suspension again!
  5. Well my girlfriend has the Aerodeck VTI and I have the VTI-S, I've started a project thread on mine so thought i would do one from hers seems as though its getting a few bits on it now, bought couple of years ago on about 113k (now on 128k) Work Carried out. Started off needing a release bearing so changed that and the clutch and a service, then it was undersealed, then i bought a VTI front splitter, then the ARB drop links, then i bought a VTI-S lip kit, then someone reversed into it and it got a new door and wing (poorly sprayed), then brake lines front to back, then another service, then front shocks, then tracking, then back box, then manifold and cat, then it got some 15" Fanblades with near new Toyo T1R tyres. Probably missed stuff but will edit later. Next week im picking up a few new parts for it Rear trailing arms with new bushes, JDM rear LCA's, Silver door, Silver wing, Rocker cover, Future Plans OEM DC2 Suspension, Exhaust (currently winning one on ebay, and will be putting my stainless manifold on when i go H2B), Fog Lights (see what plastic alternatives i can fit), Rear passenger arch repair (slight bit of surface rust but still solid and undersealed), Top arms, Removal of resonator box, Service. How i bought it... Then i bought a VTI lip Then I bought a VTI-S lip kit Undersealing! Under the Sideskirts before undersealing! Damn Exhaust! =/ His and Hers New Rocker Cover tracking had to get done New wheels Little one Cleaning the wheels lol Selfie My girlfriend got involved and changed her own wheels (can just see the surface rust which hasn't changed in two years lol but i undersealed the lip and inside) Before and after.
  6. yeah I'm Paul Murphy on the facebook page =] how much is membership? will be worth while supporting the forum now I'm active
  7. ive put my engine conversion up for sale to see what the interest is and ill go look at that one in darlington (cheers jay) @beast i assume he does as he is building a h22a7 turbo atr and has another atr as a dailly and im not sure if he bought another to break or he broke an engine as i was only enquiring if he still had the engine but definitely some good points to bring to the table much appreciated how come im unable to post in the for sale section? :/
  8. i suppose a lot of the money is paying into the rebuild and peace of mind with new belts etc, i plan on a year build so i don't mind paying the extra as im not going to rush it but then again i would much prefer to buy a full donor and see it running and drive it!
  9. Darlington is 20 minutes away from me as well but i'm going to source the h22a7 with the red valve cover which is 212bhp, a local lad is rebuilding one now and he messaged me this, would still need to find ancillaries like and wouldn't have a H series gearbox to sell to make money back but peace of mine of a full rebuild and is cheap for what it is with work being carried out "It's a bare engine mate, I'm just rebuilding it as we speak, new shells, new cam belt and water pump plus a manual tensioner (so no auto fails as these are common) and headgasket & studs. Yes it's the 212 a7 lump from an atr I have 3, this one came out from one I broke." I just need to decide is it really necessary to pay that little bit more for an extra 12bhp when i could save hundreds potentially but then i risk having to fork that back out down the line on rebuild/service/belts etc... i also still need to find a third car as well lol
  10. i got new rear lca bolts from a place called Hawk Fasteners, just took an old bolt in... At a guess if you tell them its for a car manifold which reaches upto XXX degrees they will be able to help choose description on the ebay add.. "Precision machined, stainless steel finish withstands 900° F! This means no more leaky headers, snapped studs, taping or drilling! Renew you old hardware with these hex allen drive studs in seconds!"
  11. bit late but does the D series Aerodeck have the 1" master cylinder like an mb6? personally i would have kept the rear trailing arms, bottom arms, and top arms purely to refurb the bushes for when they need replacing
  12. love this! some class mods on this cant wait for more updates!
  13. does the harness bar eliminate the practicability of a rear passenger? i.e could you get a baby seat in the back? lol
  14. i have the same problem! ill have to try this
  15. look decent them, you not found any in the uk? surely with a bolt in hand you could go to any place specialising in bolts and get them locally?
  16. i was reading your thread about the gearbox bolts lol have you got any pictures of what it looks like with flush fit bolts please? i'm intrigued!
  17. @Jay don't forget to check see you put all the bolts in your manifold if you do
  18. haha not much to take photo's of really guys, ill start a new album on Photobuket and ill keep adding my H2B parts into it Here are the Fanblades for the deck with near enough brand new T1r's on, got these for a bargain but in need of a refurb! Rocker cover for the Deck Trailing arms for the deck with new bushes and JDM lca's (ready for when i find some dc2 suspension fot it)
  19. been researching more about this h2b conversion and i really want to run recliners and harness's but looks like i'm going to lose rear seats =/ grr! also a h2b header (manifold) is not essential as you can heat up the stock h22 manifold and bend it down at the bend (works as few people do this) as it sits too high on the flange end. (eg/ek/dc2 reference) although it would be nice to get one but depends on what route i want to take when i get there. also the QSD oil pan looks sexy! but i will decide on that when i see clearance issues when its in as it costs $499 = £308 Toyo sports exhaust sounds lovely (also running a 4-2-1 stainless manifold with a resonated stainless decat) no rasp with a nice deep tone, but yeah it knocks like hell when its cold till i can add this 2" section in. i would recommend it for the tone but the clamp i got with mine was s**te and i bought a D clamp, its not long enough so needs extending and i did find out a lad i know had his centre section welded a few times due to it not being very thick and scraping on bumps (depends on how low your car is) i dont have access to a welder either *Update for VTI-S parts" Wing Mirrors Quickshift *Update for Deck Parts* Fanblade wheels with T1Rs Rocker Cover Rear Trailing arms with new bushes JDM rear LCA's *Update for H2B Parts list (picking up next week)* S9B DriveShafts (i know i have these already on mine but will be better to have these so i can sell my engine as a full conversion )
  20. it's halved the noise of my old system and has a much more lower tone, sounds decent but i still need to get it extended by about 2" after the cat before the b pipe but the only extension that will fit that i can find is an american part =/ expensive for what it is, probably cheaper just to get a small pipe welded in but its on anyway! oh and it falls about 2" short of the back bumper so will fix this aswell =/ had loads of trouble with fitting due to having a Integra manifold on (previous cat could spin round to accommodate the flange holes) so ended up getting a stainless manifold to suit lol oh and bought my mates decat aswell!
  21. haha yeah i got that when i read it back as i didnt have £ signs New pictures.
  22. what you mean grant? i was just saying the money i could get back to put towards the build =] full engine and box's tend to go for £550+ s9b's tend to sell for £150+ so i would stick my engine and ancillaries and wiring up for £350 - £400 depending on the market at the time
  23. £600 pick up only (hour and half away) for a h22a7 ATR engine on 94k miles, running 209bhp?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-HONDA-ACCORD-TYPE-R-2-2-PETROL-ENGINE-1998-2003-H22-A7-And-Gearbox-/301280634928?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4625b9a830
