been reading your thread mate, your build is coming along very nice, i do like the colour of those wheels, my honda is the same blue, got it last week, youve given me some ideas. with regards the coilovers at the rear, with my last 2 hondas i used a 4.5" grinder with a 1mm blade on it, cuts really quick and does a good job instead of trying to hacksaw it off. but yea good luck with it this weekend, hope you get it sorted

oil level is quarter, just ckecked service history and it looks like it hasnt had a decent service or oil change for 15,000 miles.....

oh and another thing, this morning turned on me civic drove about a mile and then went for it in 2nd, but the vtec didnt kick in and then i tried it again and still no vtec. then i got in some traffic engine started heating up and got to the normal temp, then i went for it again and worked perfect. then after work same thing happened, vtec really didnt happen till it got hot. is this normal?

yea ive read a few threads where you guys have been using the mgz shocks, but i defo want to go lower. ive had the cheap ebay ones on my honda civic eg coupe, was really good, didnt have any problems with them and then i had my mx5 lowered on some cheap ebay coilovers again really good, no problems. i understand you can only go low or high with them, no dampening adjustments, and there not as stiff as the more expensive coilovers but its not gonna be a track car. so is eg parts i want or ek?

Thanks Tom. Ok so I'm doing a shopping list but I need to know what civic I order it for. Do I order eg coilovers? just going for some cheap £200 ones off eBay. Rear lower control arms, eg or ek? And strut braces, going for a rear lower one and rear top one. Eg or ek? I've searched through the forum and people say different ones from different cars and I'm a lil confused what to go for.

ohwell. yea i like the blue too, was originally gonna get a red one but it had a fault with the gearbox so i saw this one up in york with only 70,000 miles on it for £1250, so thought it was a bargain. its mint, no rust whatsoever and having owned 2 other civics both eg, both rusted rear arches, i know its kinda rare to find one in good condition like this. i love it. best civic ive owned. although im kinda missing the twin turbos from my legnum.

hopefully you guys can see the pictures, dont how to load them up. Anyways, plans for the car. 1. new wheels wraped in toyo tr1's 2. lower it on some coilovers 3. strut braces 4. cold air intake, preferably long arm 5. detango my lights 6. fix my heater fan 7. fix my sunroof seal, currently leaking thats my plan for this year. the guy who i bought it off,i think hes fitted a 2.5inch straight through exhaust with decat pipe but the back box is kinda crap so probs get a new back box aswell but its not a must this year.

Did he ever find out what the problem was or did his civic actually kill him??
