Just been reading your build thread. Love those wheels in grey! Don't know why any1 hasn't bought them at £170, bargain! Regards your engine swap, get all the bits and do it yourself buddy. I did an engine swap on my old eg, found this guy online who was selling a jdm d15b VTEC engine, with everything for it, he sent out on a pallet, and the next weekend I started it Saturday and finished within 8 hours. It's as easy pie! There's do many guides out there to help you! But make sure the engine is a good one!

When is it due back from the body shop? Cool about the short shifter, any specific one, I'm thinking of getting one myself. An s80 gearbox? Why? I have seen a few for sale and it's very hard to find one with a LSD in it. What's the big difference compared to the stock one?

heres some pics of the cold air intake theres the skunk 2 inlet and heres my shiny knob! its 225mm long, 40mm wide, its solid brass, got it custom made. its heavy, 2 kilos heavy! every time i take a corner or accelerate it pops itself outta gear. didnt realise it was gonna be like this, itys to heavy. its crazy so removed it. gonna get a aluminuim one made up a bit smaller.

Your m is looking damn good I got my mb6 in the same blue, it's the best colour, dazzles in the sun! Gonna look amazing when lowered!

exciting times, i just contacted the guy from who i got it from and he said its got launch control, thats why it didnt rev past 3000 rpm, so i pluged it in again, went for a drive and its pretty decent, only thing is im pretty sure it was for a d-series, its rev limit is 7,500rpm but apart from that it runs great, no bad problems, pulls strong. for safety do i want to switch over to the old one or just run this one and take it easy till i get it tuned??

So clicked in my new ecu and it started up fine, but when I went to rev it up it stopped at 4000rpm?? Phoned up my buddy and he says it just needs to be mapped out now, he was surprised it even started up. So hopefully all I need is it mapped to my car, so I got my old ecu in for now and just gotta save some penny's.

So got my ecu today, the other parcel didn't turn up. I open it up and it's a p06 ecu. I think I read the description wrong so I checked, it's a p06 ecu that's had Vtec chip in it, and it's a socketed and chipped. Been reading up and it's quite comon that people make the p06 into pretty much a p28ecu, it's cheaper to do than buy a p28. Anyone know any different?

So in the end didn't get that ecu, got out bidded but I put an offer in for a p28 ecu with an EC tune, single VTEC, so should be better than the other one I was going for, should be here tomorrow. Also got a few other things coming tomorrow, something shiny and big for the inside and a pipercross viper induction box, il try and get some pics up tomorrow of everything!

Cool, thanks knight and kink, hopefully il win this ecu then I just need to find somewhere to get it tuned! I know one garage in Guildford, eurospec 2000, but that's about it. Getting a bit excited, never had it on a rolling road, wonder what it'll make!

Lol, I ain't clued up on it either, i just messaged the guy and he wasn't to sure either, he said it will work but you should be able to get it taken off. If I don't win it there's another down in Devon, so il go for that. Cheers for all the help Knight, much appreciated!

I haven't messaged him about but it does say in the product description that it does work the inside butterflies on the intake manifold. Couldn't I get that deleted when I get the map done?

Ok so buy a p28, then get a base map chip, then I can take it to someone who can make a map specifically for my car? Do you know how much these old b18c4 manifolds sell for? Might stick it up on eBay so just looking for a guide price.

Thanks knight So gotta find a p72 ecu that's chipped already with most of the mods that I got done already.

So yesterday I went down to a friends and we got started on fitting the skunk 2 intake mani, it took a good 2 hours to fit, was a bit of a pain. Anyways after fitting it I was on my back and I could smell fuel so pulled over and had a little look under the bonnet and all my injectors were pouring out fuel. So I pulled them out and turns out the O ring on the injectors were all torn. So phoned up the Rac and got back home for 9pm. Anyways this morning got it all fixed with some O rings and it's all good now, gotta say there is difference up top end, but I need to sort out a remap for it! Any1 know what options I got or how I should go about this?
