Cheers @Dave ... Well it won't be back on the road for a few months still at least so am I best to just leave it flat until I'll be using it again or should I charge it up and then run it for 20 mins on idle every couple of days??
-
Wow that's a lot of kit, it all adds up pretty quick doesn't it! There goes my dream of one day boosting mine haha

Right, needed to move it last week but battery had died and needed a jump... So jumped it, took it up the road n back, left it running for 5 minutes n switched it off... Then turned key half expecting it not to start but thought I would get an attempt from the battery but it was 100% dead flat again...
then a few days ago I moved it again, via jumping, and after it running for a bit it went straight dead flat again...
bearing in mind the battery was new a month or so before I put the deck off road... Do I need to just leave it running longer to get a charge or do I have something which is continually draining it??
my hawk central locking does have a led constantly flashing but didn't think that would be enough to trouble a brand new battery??

Hey lads, and Tom!
Cheers for the help and advise, I've decided to take her off the road for a bit to get some bits done on it... The dizzy problem was so bad it was cutting out every 5 mins or so and sometimes not starting at all!.... Needs a few other bits doing too so best not to run it into the ground and liven her up a bit!

Got the code and it did indeed come back with code '15 - ignition output signal'
My mate is saying it might just be the ignitor module, could this be the case?
-
Good shout lads.. I'll get the codes in my lunch break n see what's poppin!... Now to find the guide on here which says how to get the codes lol
Cheers fellas

Well... An eventful last few months but extremely UNEVENTFUL for the deck!
First of all I'd like to apologise for the lack of commitment to the forum of late, had a lot going on with the house n work etc. (Not an excuse, I know!)
But anyway, she's been running nice for me... Until Monday, when on my way to work (after 20 minutes of normal driving) suddenly, I got an EML, then immediately the engine shut down leaving me rolling, and then the oil warning light came on...
Then for ten minutes it wouldn't start... I checked dip stick and oil was on minimum level which I thought shouldn't cause it to not start but I topped it up anyways... Then car started fine and I carried on...
Then this morning, same thing happened, but this time the oil level was good on the dip stick... I had just arrived at work so didn't have time to investigate right then but I thought maybe my oil was too crappy or maybe jammy filter, so I thought a good filter n oil change would do the trick...
So I got that done after work and driving home same thing happened!! Oil still fresh n good on the dip stick... Left it for ten mins and started up again???
I ain't got a clue what's going on, thinking more electrical now though... Has anyone got any ideas?
I'm going to try get engine blink codes off it tomorrow n see what's the dealio!

Looks stunning mate!

Yeah sorry about that Tom, panicked and forgot you weren't coming lol.
Jake I got over 2 hours into my journey and realised I hadn't put my passes in my bag! Gutted.com!
-
Cheers... Yeah I know mate... Extremely stupid mistake which I don't plan on repeating!
On the plus side the other half felt sorry for me so she said she will pay for both my JF passes next year!!

yes you must @Dave maybe try and do a meet in the middle of both of us?
I would be up for that! Yet to meet the big boss!!
Not had a chance to use any of my new stuff but she's had a quick late night wash... I can try out some polish n wax tomorrow on the stand!! (with a bit of guidance lol)

Once you have cleared out or checked the vtec could it be an idea to reset ecu so it can re learn its values?

Very smart car... Impressed!

Great work mate... Brakes are definitely something I need to invest in over the coming months, looking for a new disc pad n hoses setup but still doing research! (I.e waiting for funds! Lol)
What's the difference with dot 5.1 and dot 4? ... We got dot4 at work, am I ok using that?

I also think those wheels go really well mate... Adds to a slightly stealthy look as they're a dark colour!
