  1. Sounds gd price wise but what are they like?
  2. Got a MB4 with Jordan alloys currently equipped with 185/55/r15 tyres - is there a better tyre profile I can get. Heard 185/55 are much more expensive than 190/55 or am I restricted to just the 185/55 cos of the Jordan wheels?
  3. Longevity tbh mate. It's only a 1.6 and moneys real tight especially after forking out over 300 to get realignment, front wheel bearings replaced and rear brake discs and pads fitted and supplied :l
  4. I been told by my local tyre fitter that i need to replace all 4 tyres as soon as possible. I want to get some mid range ones but not too sure what's good all year round? Also tyres I have so far are 185/55 and 15" with 'V' as the Speed Rating - is this ideal measurements to consider for next set of tyres?
  5. Anyone got a link to where I can get the front nearside wheel bearing from? X I would try Honda dealer but it would cost a bomb :l
  6. Just checked and this is full advisory: 'Front nearside wheel bearing shows signs of play's
  7. Hmmm I will check but I think the steering is off slightly. I assumed it was alignment but it wasn't
  8. Had a MOT a few months back and the only advisory on the sheet was 'Nearside Wheel Bearing showing signs of play' Recently I've noticed a screech which is intermittant resounding from a wheel. What is required to fix said problem above and is it related to the noise coming from the wheel. I start my new job in Domiciliary Care and will be driving a lot so wanna make sure car us safe to use
  9. Thinking of doing some colour coding on my MB on the following bits: Grille Surround Rear Number Plate Lip (above it not sure what its called lol) Wing Mirrors VTI Blade wheels (EK4 versions) Boot Spoiler Think it would look cool and different to the norm plus will probably have a go at it myself but if I do get the carework gig (would require use of my car when working) I may not be able to do anything till I have a week off :l
  10. I take it these are the fellas? Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=370850367345&alt=web
  11. I will be getting some yellow LaminX for my foglights and wanted to know how easy it is to apply? Is it a case of going over the lenses then cutting round? Also what bulbs do I need for foglights? I need yellow ones but is it H4? seen loads on ebay but don't wanna get wrong ones
  12. Get a Nissan Micra Super S Retro cool
  13. Do near 100 on relief road to Dorch on Sundays heading to work
  14. Ive refunded the seller as it would cost 12quid at least to send them so made an excuse and refunded him! So i will list these in the freebies section now
  15. Made sure the auction ended in the evening to give people who might have just come back from work a chance to bid on some good condition oem mb headlights. Started the auction bid at 99p and thought one person finally bidded 3hrs before auction ended with what i saw was 4 watchers. Yes perhaps a bidding war will occur in last 5mins and that id get at least a tenner for the pair. Well imagine the dismay i felt when i checked the auction winning bid was...yes you guessed it...99p!!! I thought why the hell should i bother posting this (i charged 7.95 for Hermes Tracked delivery) as im making only 99p from it! What is the world coming to when something big and important as headlights goes for 99p??!! I mean i appreciate not everyone needs them but someone somewhere in the UK must need a set to replace their cracked/damaged/moudly/etc set Bad times
  16. MINOR PROJECT UPDATE! Installed the Heater Surround trim piece the other day - took a while to remove but it was easier than expected! Didnt have a spare bulb to replace the dim clock one but meh lol Definitely an improvement and finishes off the console nicely - shame theres a slight mark on the right on the surround trim piece - I ran out of Blade Silver by then! Next on the agenda is sorting out the front end: - Got a mesh Grille and Gun Metal H Badge from Snakey135 - did a excellent job but unfortunately I snapped the bits so the grille surround is chrome still from the one that came with the car but will be resprayed (and colour coordinated with rest of the body) - Headlights from UnicycleTom - his ones have matt black insides which were just what I am after so my oem headlights should be available soon. Saves me having to dismantle them as the yellowing of the lenses appear to be on the INSIDE of the headlight as opposed to the outside. Session with Scratch X validated this - Purchase LaminX (yellow) for my foglights for a jdm-style look - New number plate - one that doesnt say its from a VW dealer! - Purchase a Vti Lip for the front to add visual aggression - Then respray the whole front bumper including sanding down the bump strips and smoothing it flush with the body!
  17. Surely driving with a crack on the screen wiill only get worse? Could one moment be ok then next shatter. If your insured full comp then autoglass may replace the winscreen for around 75quid. They will even come to you and only takes couple of hours. Granted after its been done you can't drive it but its peace of mind
  18. Also do any of the above companies do ones for the MB or do I buy springs from an alternative civic?
  19. I will probably get the eibachs but preferbly cheap as possible. I will get someone to check the suspension first before to make sure they're ok!
  20. 40mm would be good. Just needs a drop really and didnt wanna fork out for coilovers or street suspension kits. I believe 40mm is the maximum without compromising the oem suspension?
  21. As above can anyone show me pics of their civics (mb3/4) with just lowering springs? Wanna see what the stance looks like - if you can also put down make of lowering spring that would be great. Cnt afford a full coilover set up so figure lowering springs would sort out the jacked up ride height!
