  1. What Size rims & tyres are these???? look like the exact rim and tyre profile size I've been thinking about. Gorgeous Ride!
  2. Haha, That's pretty cool dude!
  3. Well it may not be the most exciting thing, but I have officially done my first bit of work on the car starting with the simple fixing of the broken fob buttons / or lack of rather. I'm sure many of you will know that it is near impossible to get replacement buttons or cases for the infrared central locking fobs, but with a bit of simple DIY its easy to sort the issue. Figured I'd post it up in case its of use to anyone else. Step 1: Order a Rover 200 / 400/ 25 /45 (Radio) key fob case with button - £3 on ebay. Step 2: Take apart the Honda key fob and Re-drill the button holes with a 10mm drill bit. I finished off the job with a cone shaped dremel just to take that little bit more and smooth the finish as the buttons are actually 11mm, but you don't want to go the full 11mm or the new buttons will fall out. You can see in the pics that there is just a tiny bit of the recessed lip left. Step 3: Take the rubber buttons from the new Rover Fob and discard the rest of the case. Step 4: Cut the little tail of the rubber buttons Step 5: Using a sharp Stanley or craft knife cut a small 'C' section from the back section of the button that sits over the little yellow square bit on the circuit board (forgot what its called) being careful not to take to much so that you foul the edge of the button where it will meet the case within the button hole. Step 6: Re-assemble with new batteries if needed (made a big difference to range for me) and Enjoy!!! I will post this in the 'How To' or 'Electrical' Section Too.
  4. Will do!
  5. Will be sure to check them all out, no doubt something will get the old modding bug twitching Thanks Mate, its really appreciated! Nice to be on a forum with some local support. Cheers, haha yeh its already caught a few people out with its stock looks, so deffo going to stick with that bar maybe the obligatory set of alloys and some clear side repeaters. Thanks, Afraid it might be a bit of a slow build as I need to raise some funds first. Glad you like the Scirocco, it was my last project but I had to get something with 4 doors, a good boot and 3-point rear seat belts to cater for the arrival of my Son 4 weeks ago...so along came the MB6. Might be an idea to post the Scirocco build in the non Honda section if anyone is interested?
  6. Yeh I was surprised to see that it isn't bubbling anywhere. Also forgot to mention that it also came with all three keys including the Red Coding key still in the blister pack, love little things like that when you buy a car.
  7. Thanks guys! glad you all thinks its a good'un. like I said to Grant, just a case of what to do now......
  8. Cheers Mate! I know, the mileage and condition surprised the hell out of me and after a test drive to see if it felt the same I was sold! TBH, I can't decide what to make my first 'personal' touch, there is so much more available for these cars in all departments compared to the last few projects I have had so choosing where to start and what to do will be tough...might have to give it a week or so and check out some more of the forum for inspiration. I think things like clear side repeaters are a given for most....so maybe start with some small touches like that.
  9. Current State: Original post & how things looked when I first got the MB! (so much has changed ) Hey all, Just wanted to post some pics of my latest addition. Super stoked and excited to get started with some subtle mods etc. Picked it up a couple weeks ago, only had 1 owner from new, 51,000 genuine hpi, dealer and M.O.T backed miles!!! with a full, and I mean every single stamp for its age service history from a main Honda dealer! Couldn't believe how clean the car was underneath / arches etc. Drives like new and has had no expense spared. Couldn't have asked for a better start for a project. Hoping to start with some small things like some new mats, skunk2 gear knob, clear side repeaters...that kind of thing. then looking to upgrade the brakes, suspension and Chassis. Once all thats sorted I'll take a look at the drivetrain, As after giving it a good couple runs I was thinkin that I want just a little more out of it. don't get me wrong, Im very pleased with the performance as it is and I love the sleeper vibe it has, surprises lot of people which is why I deffo want to keep the body stock over changing for the VTI-S kit. But I figure a stage 2 clutch, flywheel, Full exhaust incl headers and cat, decent CAI, Skunk2 Inlet mani, Cams and a map along with a couple other supporting mods would go along way in making the car stand out from the crowd and keep me satisfied for a good while. Anyway will keep things posted as I get on. Love The Colour It goes in the Sunlight!
