1. Hi. Been told by Dave to get some pics of my car up so here it is. And an arty one! It's a 1.6ES, so it has full leather interior, A/C, etc. I'm only the 2nd owner, so everythings as it should be! I put it into Honda to have the proper Honda front fog lights fitted, the Honda sunroof wind deflector and got an MP3 stereo too. Just wanting to change the wheels now. Love my aero to bits
2. Hi guys, This is my MC2 VTI... more to come when I get around to finishing some internal tweaks....
3. I'm probably imagining things but after hearing it in every possible intake configuration I have, the questions start rolling. Any time I'm flat on the accelerator and cross the 4500/4600 rpm threshold, the sound very clearly changes tone, not in any way same as a real VTEC, but still in the same kind of sound. It also sounds funny and conspiracy-y because 4600rpm is where peak torque is produced on the D14a8 haha. Still, this is no way a serious post, more like a gimmick for fellow D14 owners to try and find it in their cars and confirm it, have fun lol
4. so after my partners pug 106 quiksilver started have more problems then it was worth we sold it on. she wanted another civic as missed her ej9 and me having a civic didnt help. she wanted on bit bigger then the ej9 as kids now older so found a eu8 civic with 12 months mot and was in good shape. it was stock apart from some 17 inch alloys. i managed to find so ep3 type r bumpers and skirts cheap so got those. fitted front bumper and as rear bumper so to short for car i made plan to make rear lip fit. as the ep3 side skirt wasnt going fit and car already had side skirts i cut the end of the skirts off to extend rear lip. need fill join better but that be done in time. after more searching found so lowering springs, back box and projector headlights from a ep2 going cheap so had get them. once got took headlights apart and did inside black. fitted lowering spring and back box. we also debadged rear and wrapped chrome trim black and tinted rear lights. found a universal spoiler on ebay that looked like wud fit shape of car and was big enough for her. after abit i got some spray paint and painted rear lip and boot trim same colour as car. it little off but whole car needs deep clean. i picked up and carbon fiber exhuast tip as back box sat under bumper abit and didnt like that. finally then got the front bumper sprayed and put canards and splitter i made from spares and her owl fogs back in. few other bits car has is shark fin areil, rear bumper fins, wind deflectors and engine bay starting be sorted. still have few bits to sort
5. Hello Guys Just thought i would give you an update on the ol' MB6 Project. Ive been very busy as of recent sourcing panels for the restoration. Im very chuffed to find some Genuine Body panels including the Whole Upper sill and rear outer arch. Alongside that i have also sourced some Rear inner arch Extension panels where the Sills Meet the Wheel Arch. Unfortunately the Lower/Inner Sill section was no where to be found alongside the front outriggers but thats not an issue at all. i will be starting to Fabricate some New Lower/Inner Sill sections as if you don't know already the Civic MA/MB has Three Segments to the lower sill. The First part being the Front Jacking point section which starts at the sill then wraps itself round the front chassis legs and subframe mounts. Then there is the Middle section where the Front seatbelts are Anchored to. This section is Spot welded to the floor pan to create a sandwich effect (lovely rust trap btw). The Panel Itself is an L Shape as it also forms apart of the inner sill as its all one pressing. Thankfully the rust has not spread up into the vertical section of the panel as the rust has only ate away at the lower part probably due to all the water being trapped there. and Finally the Last segment being the Rear Sill Extension assembly which contains the rear jacking points and the Semi Trailing arm bush mounting. With Fabricating these lower segments it is pretty simple Its just a 90 Degree bend with a flange where the outer skin is spot welded to. With Rover at the time having a Partnership with Honda Luckily the 400 and 45 is the same car in terms of bodywork pretty much. Hence why i have bought Rover sills and Rover Inner Arches (they're probably cheaper too) and they will do the same job. Part Numbers if needed ALA120220 for the Side Panel (do note the side panel is a saloon not a hatchback as they are no longer available.) ALX140020 and ALX140030 for the Rear inner arches. The idea will be to chop the sill segment and rear arch segment off the genuine panel and to replace what is the rotten part on my Civic. With this i can maintain the original pressings of the panel such as the grommet holes. Hopefully in the New year i can get round to producing the Inner sill segments to be used.
6. Hey, people I have looked around on the internet about my question but I can't find someone talking about it. I was wondering about fitting a Honda Civic EK sedan 6 or coupe sport exhaust on a Honda MB3 from 2000. Does anyone know if it will fit? I have also looked into an MB3 exhaust system but only the rear muffler costs 280 and up. Any information about this is welcome. Thank you!
7. Hey everyone I had my Honda civic MB3 for over a year now but I wanted but put a Bee R rev limiter in de car for some pops and bangs but I have a stock ecu with a 26Pin 16Pin and 22Pin connector of a D15Z8 engine. So my question is it possible to put a Bee R in this car and witch wires do I need to use to make it work. I have looked online for information put I cant find any with this connector type. All of the video's online that I have seen are different wire ring and different connectors.
8. Hey all! New here, although I see alot of posts are quite old, its cool to see people still active on these kinds of forums. I thought it would be a great place for information on potential mods, parts and specs regarding civic aerodecks. I know they are far more popular in the UK. Mine is actually the first one I've ever seen in person here in Ireland.
