CHEAP Civic Aerodeck

Good afternoon to all, My name is Samuel , I am a dutch automotive student that studies Automotive Engineering. I've recently bought a bargian if i may say so. Thanks to Twan who is also a Aerodeck owner here i bought it. Hereby i introduce to you my 1999 Civic Aerodeck 1.5 V-tec-E. for 300 Euro. This car is only Honda Dealer Serviced so no third party's had touch this car for repairs and service. It has a fully new APK ( A yearly check up). And i know you guys will think, why is it so cheap. Well...... It has a cooling issue which i cannot source the problem. I thought of a air bleeding issue in de cooling system. It overheated when a have exited the runway so no Wind that cools the liquid. The fan works totally fine. So the only thing that i have concluded is that it has a bad gasket leak. So i will repair that in a couple of weeks, this and ofcourse some new fluids. new oil, new clutch and new sparkplugs while i am at it. But hereby i will end with some pictures.( It is quite dirty because did not had time to wash it good ! )

4. Hi. Been told by Dave to get some pics of my car up so here it is. And an arty one! It's a 1.6ES, so it has full leather interior, A/C, etc. I'm only the 2nd owner, so everythings as it should be! I put it into Honda to have the proper Honda front fog lights fitted, the Honda sunroof wind deflector and got an MP3 stereo too. Just wanting to change the wheels now. Love my aero to bits

Remote Locking Fob/Key

Looking for some help please people, like many others the terrible Infra Red remote locking fob has stopped working for my car. I got the remote from the ex-ex owner of my car (been in the family since new) and it was totally disconnected having not been used for years. not lighting up even with new batteries, absolutely dead and I've since lost it anyway. If the opportunity was there to buy a brand new remote/fob, how easy is it to get this coded to your car's code? I imagine it will be a Honda dealership jobby, but what is it likely to set me back? Bearing in mind I will have a brand new never used remote? Thanks! (I know an aftermarket central locking system would no doubt be cheaper but there's also all the wiring involved and paying somebody to do it!)
7. Hey lads, Have previously put a build thread on civiclife forum but thought I'd wack one up here too for different opinions etc. Currently I have re-sprayed the grill and re-badged boot... Ive cleaned up bay, powder coated rocker cover and fitted short ram induction kit (soon to be cold air induction kit)... Removed headlight washer jets... New head unit, fusion sub and fli door speakers... Next I plan to fill jet holes in front bumper and re-spray it, along with skirts and rear bumper as they have a few dings etc. Purchased the relevant stuff for this from halfords, had a question though... If i get paint colour using cars ext. paint code... Once lacquered will it have the desired effect or will it look out of place.... The silver has a metallic shine to it but not sure if my sprayed bumpers will come out the same as not done this before? Any tips welcome please!! Here's a couple pics anyway...

Ringo's red mc2

Hello, I've been following this forum for a while but never introduced myself so I think it's about time that I do this My name is Ringo, i'm from Belgium so my Englisch isn't the best but I'll try. I have my aerodeck mc2 now for almost a year. When I bought him it had 110.000 km. This is when I bought him : My first modification were wheels and h&r lowering springs. I also changed the oil to mobil1 5w40 and mounted a itr oem airbox. Changed the sparkplugs and installed a cat converter. This week I'm gonna change the brake pads to ebc black ones. I also did a big order at all4honda.nl, a 5 panel mirror, a sensor for oiltemp and oilpress, a new fuelfilter, a hamp oilfilter, an oilpan gasket, a exhaust header gasket, a few little things and the biggest thing, an invidia g200 catback from a civic coupe/sedan 92-95. Also I want to buy a utcomp board computer and install the oil sensors on it. I also bought a vti-s front and back lip wich must be painted in red. I had the chance to buy a secondhanded tegiwa toda rep header wich is almost brand new. When the new updates are installed I'll be posting some new pictures. This is a picture of me and hondaprojason when he visited the netherlands : edit november 2015 : these are the mods i've did so far: performanceitr airbox with k&n filter and cold air feedtegiwa toda rep. headerdecatsrs r60 catbackinsane shafts driveshaftsoem itr clucthact streetlight flywheelhamp oilfilterebc brakepads suspensionh&r coilover kitrota grid 17x7,5 et45black lugnutspirelli p zero nero 205-40-17mg zs 18mm swaybar rearenergy suspension front swaybar endlinks bushingsenergy suspension gear shift bushings interiortegiwa 360 degree shifter extensiontegiwa type r gear knob5-panel mirror exteriorvti-s lip kitvti-s spoilergrill and logo wrapped in matt blackfake air intakes in fog surroundingsheadlights tinted in blackwhite sidemarkersdebadged trunknew paint on vti-s kit, trunk rear bumper, mirrors, and doorhandlestegiwa rear tow hookpainted brake calipers redclimair window visors frontshort atenna engine baydarkicedesigns hoodstrutspassword jdm radiator staypassword jdm vtec solenoid covertegiwa washers tenzo-r battery tiedownskunk2 plug cover future modsutcomp trip computer (working on it)engine dress-upwindow visors rear and roofwindow tintingheadlights blackhousing diynew paint valve coverskunk2 water hosesbishimoto water reservoir

My 2nd MB3

So here's my little new MB3 on its summer wheels that normally were on my ED9. Need to lower it though, 215/40 R16 are looking very tiny. Bought it for 500€ last June with 192.000km and a nearly broken transmission. Luckily a used but functional one and 8 wheels (OEM alloys and some steels) were in the back so i just had to replace the gearbox and also put a brand new clutch in it for 450€ total in a honda workshop. It's now at 206.000km and it's still going without any problems. Looks like i made a good deal for under 1000€. Also it's in lovely Pirates Black and has this nice little wing, gorgeous!
10. Hey guys, will be selling my mb3 soon but taking the following things out and replacing with stock items. Full leather seats - quite dirty atm but will be cleaning them before selling. Rears are in great condition and the fronts have a few scuffs. I've pictured everything possible. Would need the front seats replaced when swapping! Got the stock rears but swapped the fronts with the guy I bought it off. £100 Tegiwa carbon powerchamber/whalep***s with filter. Done probably about 5k miles. A few small scratches from when trying to fit it in the bay. £115 Project A Omega Alloy Wheels 16x7J 4x100 4x108 ET35. 215/45/16 tyres all around. They looked great when fitted on my mb. Unfortunately one of the wheels took a beating when I veered into the payment to avoid a child. Front tyre got a damaged sidewall but wheel was relatively untouched considering, but rear got scratched up massively by the kerb. One wheel got dropped on it's side when off the car. Tyres are toyo proxes and have I believe around 5/6 mm left but will double check. Great tyres, but one needs replacing. These worked beautifully with the shocks and springs and there was only slight rubbing at full lock. Rears would rub if you had a full house of fatties in the rear. Otherwise, perfect! Don't think they rub with stock suspension. £200 Civic mb parcel shelf with InPhase 6x9 triaxial speakers with directional tweeters. These sound amazing! Such an improvement over the stock 4" speakers. Not exactly the tidiest job from underneath but the sound quality you got from these made a massive difference to my journeys. Will be really easy to connect to the headunit by disconnecting the original speakers. Had similar components in the front but have gone into my new car, these won't fit! Also have the box for the speakers. £80 I will also have mg zs 180 shocks to sell as well as Eibach lowering springs. Would be easier to sell together but will sell the shocks with standard springs and lowering springs separately unless the money is right. Currently don't have pictures of them unfortunately. Springs have done probably 7k miles, unsure of shocks! These are easily the best cheap upgrade to suspension for any mb civic. MG shocks are slightly lower than standard mb suspension and offer a stiffer ride. Eibach springs drop another 30mm. This made such a difference to the ride. It went from being a boat to feeling planted. £80 shocks £150 springs £220 together (stock springs included) I bought the mg shocks off someone from here though I can't seem to find the thread! Bought the Eibach springs in Nov '16 I also have civic floor mats that I re-dyed black. All in good condition with driver's side having the most wear. Sorry, no pictures of this! £20 Still also have the Energy suspension complete bushing kit that will fit a civic MB. Brand new, only opened to have a look at everything. Everything still in the box! £130 Probably the only thing I can post at a cost of £10 Currently, it's all in Witney. I live in Watford and will be going over asap to change it all over. Do not have time to post or box anything so collection only. Can organise collection from Witney or Watford or nearby to either. Work around London so may be able to sort something around there. Seats collected in Witney only due to changing over the fronts. My new car won't be able to transport a single seat, upgraded to a 350Z! Send me a message on here or text me: 07456675686

13. Dogg1210 vti-s

As you all probably know iv bought burbleboys vti-s and very happy with it glad to be back in a Honda. Plans are to just drive it for a while as it's already sorted, save for a turbo kit next summer (possibly!) taking fly-eyes off as there just not my thing.

19. I have recently installed a Toad alarm to my Mb6, I found a lot of conflicting info on the central locking activation for an aftermarket unit. It is difficult to interpret and manipulate the locking signals due to switches in the locks themselves providing feedback signals. To clear this up and keep all the door locks working as they should, also retaining the use of the original fob, the simplest way is to find the central locking module located behind the heating controls (centre console), open up the unit and attach the negative trigger system directly to the pins on the dual relay as shown. these pins will activate the door lock/un-lock when grounded. Hope this helps.

Mc2 aerodeck vti

Hi all im jay n this is my aerodeck vti. Its got 120k on the clock. Some service history and many battle scars and signs of abuse perfect for a project and was mine for 1k. I bought it nearly a year ago n its solid underneath no rust anywhere its just a little tatty on the paintwork usuall story the paint is flaking on the bonnet and boot (longbridge build quality lol) n lots of carpark dings n scratches. Mechanically its sound engine wise that is lol as for the gearbox its the noisiest one ive ever had as recently its started to play up long story short new one getting fitted next week along with a new clutch.
