  1. also car is looking the 'racecar'ist' its ever looked at the moment. only 1 seat!
  2. just made my most important purchase yet got some air fresheners on the way
  3. RB25 is a lovely motor but at the end of the day supplied and fitted its 4 grand. if i sold the car as is with 4k in my pocket i could get alot more than an RB25 S14a. im edging towards the SR20 with a few internals and then go for something like the Hdev chip or maybe even a nismo ECU if funds allow? currently having trouble with the seats. seats are too wide for the rails so on to the company who are on the case and looking for a solution (they are based on the estate in nottingham where there was a giant fire yesterday evening so its all kicking off over there at the moment) hopefully all be done by japfest
  4. if im honest at this point in time im not at all fussed about power. im not exactly sure which direction the build is going at the moment. currently just doing visual mods engine is on 111k now so its starting to get high, probably get another 20-30k out of it as it has a FULL nissan history from 1998 until 2013 so car has been looked after and was owned by an 'old boy' for 14 years part of me wants to do an RB25 swap or SR20/SR22 built ultimately aiming for around 350bhp on safe boost. although my biggest hurdle is that i know absolutely nothing about cars at all. i know of a few shops like hdev and garageD but i know next to nothing about building an engine.. and then theres the £££ part! so for now am just plodding along spending a bit here and there. have a list of stuff id like by the end of the year so hopefully get those crossed off
  5. @fyfie5 it made between 220-235 which is quite happy with considering ive not really done anything performance wise bar zorst fmic and intake without mapping @UnicyclingTom yeah it came up pretty good actually always love polishing the pipe So yeah i have seats now. really happy with the quality of them and got a good price for the pair aswell. currently waiting on rails to be delivered. good old driftworks ey! pair for £300 brand new!!
  6. Right so a bit of an update, got some bits in the pipeline should be here within the next few weeks intime for japfest got the car cleaned yesterday, i would put my usual 100 photos up but i really cant be bothered. was a 2 stage polish and wax car looked pretty awesome if i say so myself. not really much to say really cars hit 110k now so done 4k miles since november last year
  7. @Shafzzz, those seats are dreadful. torn between 3 at the moment; http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/sparco-rev-motorsport-combo-deal/prod_4657.html http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/corbeau-rs1-jacquard-road-seat/prod_4555.html http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/corbeau-club-sport-bucket-seats-pair/prod_4622.html
  8. 30 and wasn't in boost lol. stupid simulations! and Krzys, although it is tempting to just go straight for a map now, its not on the list of my priorities. no point getting a map without injectors fuel pump and ecu. then will make 300bhp with the mods i have now for now though trying to get the car looking how i want it and money is very tight at the moment. trying to find some seats i'll be able to buy in around august. power can wait for now and yes 197 for a stock uk spec 14a. also dont want to go into it too much but it made between 220 and 235, but i wont go into it.
  9. quick update to let you all know i'm breathing; 1, went santa pod with a few of the boys, was my first time ever on strip, ran a 15.2 as best time which isnt great but happy with it for a first time (and dont have a rev counter!) 2, went on a dyno and ran 220ish which is like meeeeh. not too bad wasnt ecstatic about it 3, WHAT SEATS? recommendations please (max 400 without rails, pref recliner but not fussy)

BOOSTED SR20 IM TELLING YOU MAN!!!
  11. think that might be a bit much for a daily for me RB25 yooo
  12. only a fraction on startup then nothing if the engine blows i have bigger plans than a rebuild
  13. i don't know anyone there either so that's another thing deterring me
  14. if you still have them mate shoot me a message! I think im near 3k already man and only had the car since november haha, gone a bit mad on it to be honest. done alot of the big stuff that isnt related to engine now though I am on SXOC, but get the feeling as a rookie id get torn to bits on there which is why i post here due to the friendly community here (brown-nose)
  15. i would loove a set of 25mm spacers for the rear but at the moment funds just dont allow. and im not 100% on stock stud size so might even have to cut those too! if i went for 20mm on the front it wouldnt have made much difference tbh, the ultimate goal was to bring the wheel away from the spacer but avoid having to roll arches which is was successful im not 100% on what the colour of mine is all i know is that there are 2 blues for the 14a that are very very similar, think mine is starfire blue?
  16. okaaaay ever since i owned the car its felt like the calipers were sticking. i took it to the garage a couple of months back to 'unstick' them (common problem on 14's) they unstuck them for me but after about 1 mile they were stuck again. (they didnt even charge me for it) though guidance from a few close friends i decided to get my calipers refurbished (funds didnt allow an upgrade unfortunately) the pads i fitted a few months back were dog awful too, so decided i would upgrade those... aaand why not do the disks too! 1x set front EBC Yellowstuff pads 1x set rear OEM EBC pads Mtec front a rear disks (just grooved) Calipers refurbished by Biggred ATE TYP200 Race Quality Brake Fluid need to do some more bleeding but thats for another day. they work for now. car needs alignment so so badly it feels all over the place (also think we've fixed the noise coming from passenger side. the break line thingy wasnt cable tied on tight enough) actually had very little issued today, so went really well!!!!
  17. Things are happening boys! hopefully have a good update for this page tomorrow!
  18. @Roj just put my amber side bulbs in no problem!! @Krzys i will get a few snaps tomorrow, the car is covered in dust thanks to the skip yard i work next to car isnt looking that spectacular at the mo, got to get another set of spline nuts due to the fact ive b****red 5 of them, so havent put them on the rear yet. but thats for another pay day
  19. i know man. part of me was wishing i got another teg or saved for a K-EG, but its just the way it looks man looks so innocent but so mean at the same time tomorrow morn gunna jack up the whole front end and tighten everything up, was kinda hard by myself because the hub was just spinning lol need someone to sit on the footbreak
  20. Okay The past few weeks have been a bit crap to be honest, i almost fell out of love with the car i think and was on the verge of beginning to question myself about the wheels id bought after all the complications i'd had with the wheel the following happened; my 15MM spacers from tegiwa turned up, the were a 63PCD instead of the 66PCD that i required. the ally wheel nuts i got from epic have basically shredded themselves on the passenger front hub because they were off/on so much when adjusting coilys they left a small metal strip inside the thread of my hubs, and i then proceeded to put a set of spline nuts over them. so f**ked the spline ones too. (5 of them) ! Tegiwa managed to get me a 66PCD set of 15mm hubcentrics delivered the following day, i was told they were gunna be delivered on the monday (the guy even offered to take a set to his house in derby so i could pick them up!) A++++ service on that okay. go to fit my spacers... nope. wasnt simple, never is! The hub centric spacers exceeded the original studs. so...... ANGLE GRINDERRRR!! (first time using one might i add!) put a washer and the spacer nut on the hub to mimic how everything would sit proceeded to cut off my studs. hands down the scariest thing ive done on a car. dad filming me from the garage was a little off putting SUCCESS! finally something that went right WRONG. after a few days i started getting a weird noise from the driver front.. posted on SXOC talking to the lads in our group chat was convinced it was my wheels rubbing on coilovers again so was under the car at 8pm after a 12 hr shift at work. nope. not the coilovers was suggested balljoints. went past the garage on wednesday and spoke to a good friend of mine 'your wheels aint tight mate' went absolutely beetroot red in the face! got home 5 mins later, jacked up driver side front and low and behind my spacer wasnt tight, tightened it up and all good! no noise!! now... nobody knows this... @Shafzzz @Roj on the way back from dropping my girlfriend off this morn, hit about 70ish on country road and started getting a weird rubbing noise from PASSENGER front. pulled over at nearest layby jacked the car up and tightened everything on that hub. didnt hit that speed again so cant tell if everything is okay yet but im 100% hoping everything is okay now.. its a shame its took so much work, because when i bought my GT3's for my EJ it literally bolted on no problem at all, seems that ive had every possible problem that could have happened has happened. but... fingers crossed everything's ok girlfriend says no fitment pretty much perfect on the front now literally as i am about to press 'post', step mum walked in with another delivery of my amber sidelight bulbs, orderes thurs nught, turned up sat AM, cost me £2 DELIVERED. AWESOME!! until next time!!
